Dogs vary greatly from breed to breed yet they are identical in
anatomy with 321 bones and 42 permanent teeth. The smallest breed is
the Chihuahua, 4 pounds and 5 inches high. The tallest breed is the
Irish wolfhound, which is 39 inches tall. The St. Bernard is the heaviest
dog; it can weigh about 200 pounds. The Chow Chow and the Chinese
Shar-Pei have blue-black tongues.
More than 500 breeds of dogs exist worldwide. About 50 million dogs
live in the United States. The American Kennel Club recognizes 148
breeds.

Krypto the Superdog
At c/o Hotels we also welcome dogs. Dogs are welcome to all of our
hotels. Here at c/o The Maidstone we allow dogs in some of our
rooms, in the cozy lounga and bar area. Not in the main dining room.
Our Dog guests have their own menu at The Living Room restaurant.
Not all animals have the privilege to be mollycoddled, as they should.
So the Animal Rescue Fund has taken on the responsibility of finding
Krypto, also known as Krypto the Superdog, is Superman's pet dog in
the various Superman comic books. Krypto's first appearance was in a
Superboy story in Adventure Comics #210 in March 1955. Although
Krypto's breed is never specifically stated in the comic books, he is
modeled after a white Labrador Retriever.
As explained in his first appearance, Krypto was originally the toddler
lovely homes for those lacking affection. The animal welfare
organization in the Hamptons is spread over 22 acres, featuring an
extensive outdoor play area, indoor dog runs and a medical wing. The
ARF is entirely funded by private donations. We donated most
furniture from the old Maidstone Arms Inn to the ARF thrift shop!

Gunther IV is considered the world’s richest dog. His dad, Gunther III,
was bequeathed a $124 million trust in 1992 when their owner,
Countess Karlotta Lieberstein passed away. Since inheriting his former
mistress' millions, Gunther III has passed on his fortune and legacy to
his son Guther IV. The German Shepherd has successfully bid on
although proportionate to his smaller size & species. Certain sensory
abilities of Krypto's (senses of smell & hearing) would be more acute
than those of Superman, just as an ordinary dog's senses would be
more acute than those of an ordinary human. Krypto also had supercanine intelligence; expressed in thought balloons indicating what
Krypto was thinking.

Her. President Barack Obama has a Portuguese water dog named Bo.
