Connecting with ‘Growth’
After grappling with regulatory issues and drop in gold loan demand due to slowdown, it is my proud
privilege to announce that Muthoot Finance Ltd., the largest gold financing company in India in terms of
loan portfolio, has made a vigorous and dynamic new start and is back on the growth track. For us, this was
long awaited but not unexpected. We were certain that we will bounce back as our systems and processes
are so streamlined.
The Company has declared a net profit of `171 crore in the second quarter of FY15 and `351crore for the half year ended
September 30, 2014. There has been a `392 crore increase in gold loan portfolio during the last quarter and this achievement
is clearly the result of the concerted efforts of each and every person in the Company.Our Company’s performance during
the quarter is a clear indication that our business model is designed to overcome adverse economic conditions and to deliver
consistent results.
Recently,we acquired equity shares of Asia Asset Finance PLC Colombo (AAF) a listed Financial Company in Sri Lanka, thus
raising our total holdings of equity shares to 44.32% of the total number of equity shares of AAF.
We have also been appointed as an Authentication UserAgency by UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) to provide
Aadhaar Enabled Services to our beneficiaries, clients and customers. During the quarter, we granted 8,43,000 options to the
employees as approved by the ESOP Committee of Board of Directors in accordance with the “Muthoot ESOP 2013” scheme.
The Muthoot Global Money Transfer Ltd., a part of Muthoot Global, the overseas arm of the Muthoot Group launched its web
portal www.rupee2india.eu for European countries. The customers can collect cash instantly up to `50,000 from 4,500 Muthoot
Finance branches across India. They can also avail the facility of transferring money from any bank with more than 85,000
branches across India. In accordance with our commitment to promoting sport in India, we have taken concrete steps towards
culmination of our spirit towards ‘Excellence and Perseverance’ in whatever we do. As the principal sponsor of the 2nd edition
of the Muthoot Finance Cochin International Half Marathon, the largest sporting event in Kerala, we are overwhelmed by the
response it has fetched. Over 25,000 runners across Kochi are gearing up to participate in the marathon on 07 December 2014.
The Muthoot Group announced its association with the Hero Indian Super League as the Official Referee and Fair Play Award
Sponsor. The company unveiled ‘The Muthoot Group Fair Play Award’ trophy during a press conference at the Constitution
Club, New Delhi. To partner with the Hero Indian Super League goes beyond business as ‘fair play’ reflects the innate values
of the Muthoot brand and the game. The company believes that the concept of fair play extends beyond the game and has
resonance and applicability in an individual’s day to day life. The association with the tournament will also allow the group to
build the referees as brand advocates and ambassadors of fair play.
We have also entered into a year-long partnership with WWF-India to work together on elephant conservation, with a special
focus on managing human-elephant conflict (HEC) and protecting elephant habitats.
For us, it is important to remember that the crucial thing is to be determined to make a wholehearted effort in everything that
we do. We should carry on with enthusiasm, maintaining a positive, forward-looking attitude and neverlook back.

New Specialty Department-Emergency Medicine

Healthcare has strode into the competitive field of Emergency Medicine.
The new Emergency Medicine department commenced its services

MITS outshines in the MG University Exam
for Semester I & II with an outstanding
84.56% pass percentage
The Muthoot Institute of Technology and Science (MITS), a
centre that excels in imparting education and research in
engineering and technology has attained the top position
in Semester I & II examination, in the very first attempt itself
amongst all the engineering colleges affiliated to the MG
University.
Obtaining a remarkable 84.56 pass percentage out of 272
examinees, this state of the art institute ranks first out of
the 43 competing engineering colleges affiliated under the
University.
The institute secured a top position in all the major subjects
scoring above 90% in the exam. The MITS students have
outshined with securing 100% in Chemistry, 97.8% in
Mathematics and Basic Civil Engineering, 97.4% in Basic
Mechanical Engineering, 95.6% in Basic Electrical Engineering,
94.6% in Engineering Mechanics, 94.5% in Engineering
Graphics and 93.0% in Electronics & Communication and

Ms. Pamela Anna Mathew has over 40 years of experience
and is a leading industrialist in Kerala and is currently the
Managing Director of O/E/N India Limited.
She has been awarded the CII award for best Chairperson at
national level for outstanding contributions and has served as
Chairperson of social development & women empowerment
panel for southern region of CII for two consecutive years.
