Application Process

• You must be between 13 and 18 years of age.
• Professional Headshot
• 3-5 jpeg images of your artwork (cartoon images)
• $10 application fee
9th Annual Young at Art Comic Convention Guidelines:
• Remember, your artwork should be interesting to kids. This includes but is not limited to:
o Cartoons
o Comic book characters/Superheroes
o Movie characters
o Anime characters
o Animals
• Have a minimum of 5-10 different pieces of artwork, 10 copies of each
• Pieces should be no smaller than an index card (4” x 6”), and no bigger than poster size (11” x 17”)
• If you have a piece of something that you know will be popular with kids (example: SpongeBob), be
sure to make extra copies of it. Our recommended minimum is 50 copies.
• Pieces should be priced cheaply because they are being sold to children.
• Bring at least $50 worth of singles and coins for change
• Pieces must be finished works of art

PARTICIPANT AUTHORIZATION
I understand that I am required to provide the following materials:
• 30-50 color and B&W copies of originals or small original drawings to sell for no more than $7.00
• 5-15 pieces of my best originals between 4 x 6 to 11 x 17 inches.
• A money box with singles and coins for change
• Professional Headshot
• Biography (to include):
o Age, school, incoming grade
o How long have you been drawing?
o What first got you interested in drawing?
o What are your favorite images to draw?
o Minimum of 250 words
I agree to participate in the 9th Annual Young At Art Comic Convention Friday July 17th, 2015 from 10:00am4:00pm. I understand that I am responsible for all cash transactions and that all images must be “child
friendly.” I agree to conduct myself in a professional manner. I agree to arrive at the museum at 9:00am to
set up my station by 10:00am and to remain at my station until 4:00pm, and I will not break down before
this time. I know that I am responsible for my artwork and properly cleaning my station at the conclusion of
the convention from 3:30pm-4:30pm. I am also aware that YAA cannot provide electricity to booths, and
does not permit sales of food, animals, or unoriginal artwork.
