CALENDAR CONTEST
30th Anniversary
Silver State Schools Credit Union is now accepting artwork submissions for its
30th annual Happy Times Calendar. The calendar showcases the artistic talents of
local students from each grade level, K-12. The winning art pieces will be featured
in the 2016 SSSCU Happy Times Calendar and will be on display in the McLeod
Branch gallery. Student winners will receive a $100 cash prize and their original
artwork will be framed to commemorate their achievement. The student’s school
will receive $100 in support of its art program.
Artwork may be dropped off at any SSSCU branch or mailed to: Silver State
Schools Credit Union, Attn: Marketing Department, 4221 McLeod Drive, Las
Vegas, NV 89121. Submission deadline is Saturday, October 10th, 2015. Winners
will be notified on Friday, October 23rd, 2015.
REQUIREMENTS
Artwork should reflect special events, holidays, seasons, vacations, sports,
celebrations; anything that makes people, especially children, HAPPY!
Acceptable media: watercolor, markers, crayons, pen & ink, etc. on paper that is
landscape in orientation (18” wide x 12” high). Please, no digital files, poster boards
or 3D art.
On the back of each entry, please print: TITLE of the artwork, MEDIUM used,
STUDENT’S NAME & GRADE, SCHOOL NAME, TEACHER’S NAME, TEACHER’S EMAIL &
PHONE. Artwork that is not properly identified will not be considered.
