#DrawAttention to Human Rights around Mega Sporting Events
Have you heard about the dark side of the 2014 FIFA World Cup™ in Brazil?
Did you know that around thousand homes were torn down and 12 275 people in 24
communities were forcibly moved to make way for the 2014 FIFA World Cup™ and 2016
Olympic facilities in Rio?
This is just an example of the human rights violations that can happen around Mega Sporting
Events.
Be a human rights hero and #DrawAttention to these violations!
In occasion of the 1st European Games to be held in Baku, Azerbaijan in June 2015, we call for your
mobilisation:
As part of the Sport and Rights Alliance, Children Win calls for your Artwork (cartoon,
illustration, caricature or any other visual representation) that would best capture how any
past or future Mega Sporting Events impacts on a series of human rights, including children’s
rights, before, during and after the events.

How to Participate?
The contest is open to everybody!
Send an e-mail to [email protected] with the subject line “Draw Attention+ [name of your
cartoon]”.
Include these Basic Information: First Name, Last Name, Year of Birth, Sex/Gender, Nationality
as well as your Artwork in an A4 format (in BMP, TIFF, JPEG, GIF or PNG) as attachment.

Promote your Artwork ! There are two awards waiting for you :
“Jury Awards”
The Top 3 winners on the podium:
1. Gold: ….€ 500
2. Silver: …. € 300
3. Bronze: …€ 200
Selection Criteria
A jury will evaluate and select your Artwork based on the following main criteria:
1) Content: human rights violations before, during or after Mega Sporting Events
2) Ethics: appropriate content
3) Creativity: innovation and refreshing ideas
“Public Choice Award”
In parallel to the jury selection, a winner will be chosen for the “Public Choice Award” and
receive € 300. After we publish your Artwork on our facebook and twitter accounts, the
audience can vote by linking, sharing or using the following hashtags #ChildrenWin
#DrawAttention #Baku2015
All participants will win! All Artwork submitted will be shown and circulated on our
website, through social media channels and within our network.
Deadline
Please submit your Masterpiece by 18th May 2015, 11:59 pm EST
Winners will be personally notified and officially announced on 1st of June 2015.
