BURRABAROO
Burrabaroo, consisting of 9.3 hectres (23 acres), is situated
approximately 16kms north of Tamworth on Porcupine
Lane, 2.5kms off the New England Highway.
In 1953, Mr Jim Tull built the first building known as Karingal.
In January 1954, the first Guide camp was held and the Girl
Guides chose the name Burrabaroo.
The Brownie Cottage Tin Tuppa Gunyah, was built in 1976,
sleeps 24 people, and has conference room facilities.
The camp site is divided into six camping grounds, for those
who like to sleep under canvas.
There is an abundance of flora and fauna, with no less than
fourteen different wild flowers, and an amazing variety of
birds including kingfishers and whistling eagles providing
a peaceful soundscape.
Why not come and share the delights of this lovely spot
