• Is Silver the only color disc available? No, you have the option of silver or gold discs to be
printed on with 1-4 color imprinting included in pricing.
• Is it possible to print on both sides of DropStop®? No, it is not possible to print on both sides of
the DropStop®
• How is DropStop® produced?
We produce DropStop® on a digital printing machine using process color printing technology and
sandwich print. The benefits are: High quality printing - equal to images; High flexibility in terms of
low quantity per customized design; Sandwich print – which means no food contact with the ink;
and short production time.
• What is sandwich printing?
When producing and printing the disc we laminate a transparent film on top of the ink in order to
seal the printing from coming in contact with the wine. This process is named sandwich printing.
• Is the product complying with the food grade requirements?
Due to the use of sandwich printing technology and constantly optimizing the raw material, the
Drop-Stop® does comply with general food grade requirements. We are continuously monitoring
and testing the product in terms of migration requirements in order to assure that the product
complies with the food grade requirements.
• Is DropStop® protected by patents? DropStop® is protected worldwide by patents and trade
marks held by the inventor of the product.
• How does a white color affect the printing result (the color perception) on the DropStop®?
You can choose to have your logo printed either with or without a white base color. If you choose to
have the disc printed with a white base color the image will appear mat and clear – as if you printed
on a plain white paper. If you refrain from having the disc printed with a white color the image will
appear shiny on the disc.
