PR TIP ADJUSTING PLAY TO THE SEASON by Chris Gentry New Construction Manager Linda Calloura, CypressGrill CypressGrill w w w. g r ay wo o d l l c . c o m Warm temperatures and rain will produce thicker Bermuda grasses. Shots not in the fairway and not on the green this time of year require more thought and planning. From the fairway, use the GPS to find your yardage to the front of the green. Select a club that will clearly cover the front of the green and the average shot will finish in the front third or the middle of the green. From this position, you should be able to two putt. Green side rough requires wedges with 56 degrees or more. Practice hitting down toward the ball to achieve the height and spin needed to control your pitch shot. Take into consideration a line into the green that will give you the best chance to stay on the putting surface, rather than have a pitch shot from the rough with very little green to work with. Hybrids and new wedges designed to help you in these situations are available in our ProShop. Talk to me about the right fit.
