"Illuminators of Hope", 2008, is a series composed of illuminated sculptures
made of eco-consciousness material. In my life, I have both experienced and
witnessed many forms of abuse.
My art celebrates hope, courage and survival by reaching out to end abuse in
our lives, relationships and the environment.
The motives resemble reaching arms & hands with elements of cocoons,
flowers and butterflies. The colors are passionate and bright or calm and
serene.
The material is mainly focal palm trees parts and aluminum. The dry parts of
the palm remind me of confused and abused materials. I bring it to life by
stopping the decay, organizing and shaping it, adding colors and electrical
light, turning it from "abused' to a celebration of life.
Using electricity has a great meaning to me, since electricity is power and
energy. When I add it to the finished sculpture, it breathes life into it and acts as
an illuminator that lets you shade light on dark

The “Very” business concept combines successful components from
businesses drawn from the founder and CEO.
Ms. Rees has been an artist, activist & entrepreneur for 25 years and has
extensive experience in wholesale, retail and management. Her community
and charity work add to her vision and have resulted in the creation of many
profitable businesses.
Ms. Rees was featured in more than 300 publications, including radio & TV
worldwide and has received several awards for her ventures.
Dary Rees Awards and recognition's:
· Received the Silver “Global Design Award”, 2005 for the bottle water
concept and packaging design of “Slimmer You H2O”
· Received the “Best in Concept” 2004 for the beverage concept
“Aphrodisiac Goddess Rose Nectar” by the Beverage Marketing Group.
· Offered a Consultant Status from the United Nations to support women’s
programs national and international and create a liaison between
Corporate America and the non-profit world.
· Invited to speak in a few of the UN programs and events about her
experience and challenges as a woman and her ideas of beverages while
creating a partnership between non-profit organizations and the
corporate world.
· Created a sex education campaign (with the bottled water; Venus Water
For Women) for NYS schools, with the NYS Alliance and Hillary
Clinton.
· Received the “She Rock” award for the NYC march “to save women’s
lives” with the bottle water concept “Venus Water For Women” 2005
· Assisted the U.S. International Trade Delegation to promote women
owned business and “Break The Glass Ceiling”, Washington DC 1995-99
· Received the Athena Award for assisting and supporting large groups of
women in the Miami community, FL 1997
