Ya, I got one. Obviously not my best, but those are old scores. You can see my current one by it's whiteness in the upper right.

Here's a new one. You can see in the first one, I have several extra men. I think it only shows seven, cos I died a couple times here
and it didn't change. Too hard to keep track, even though this easier than the yellow/orange one. But you can see it didn't take long
to eat them away. A new high score, though.

Last time I played this, I had both sets of controls on the one joystick

getting "OK" at it. You won't see any Top scores from me though!

I've done the same Button mapping method on my PSX pad. I tried using the 2 analogue sticks for control but decided they have too
much travel.

Only just started playing this again. And judging from the scores already, they are well out of my league!
I will add a scoretable soon, sometime in the next few days.

It helps to have, if not appropriate, then, decent controls. C.D., and anyone else, you could try strapping down two pads and using
the D-pad of each, respectively.

I am complete rubbish at this game. You would think that a robot in the year 2084 would have better controls

Now Defender is a hard one for me. (I think, except for a few neophytes, it's just generally hard.) I can't think that it really sold the
most. Robotron I always liked the idea of...I liked watching people play it....I just didn't like to play it till Mame.

I agree, Defender is generally hard, definitely. It's still remains a favourite of mine though despite the difficulty. Perhaps we should
vote for it sometime? I always remember getting the Atari 2600 version when that came out, and although it did no justice at all to
the arcade original it was still one of the most-played carts of my collection. And I too didn't get around to Robotron until the days of
MAME.

I guess we could try that. Get a game that we're all surely (or at least likely) crippled on.

I hit a late night kung-fu phase or something. Incidentally, this was on the yellow/orange label rom. It comes to mind though that
there might be some difference with most in that I was playing native resolution. Hm.

Oops, mate! But, hats off to you because that version is supposedly harder! I guess nobody has any quarrels about that though, due
to your unbelievable win margin! Anyways, this is from the history.dat:
Yellow/Orange label :
* The default difficulty is 5.
* The demo calls the Quarks 'Cubeoids'.
* The default high score is 131682.
Blue label :
* The default difficulty is 3.
* The default high score is 151782.
* The 'shot-in-corner' bug is fixed.
So another great compo has ended, well played to all who took part!
Here is the final scoretable for this round, also the standings have been updated, so be sure to check it out!

Yeah, probably not. I guess I should feel foolish cos I obviously forgot how to figure out which set to use. Because it's the one I grew
up with, and it being the one I remember seeing most in pics (though klov does have a blue label pic), I tend to think of the Y/O set
as being parent.

Anyway, here's my score, interspersed with some of Hammy's (if any of you remember him). He dropped off another Pachinko
machine here last weekend

Alas, the Windows Setup screen...which means plenty of time to grab the camera and take a nice pic, even with that meaty setup,
heheh
Seriously though, nice specs you have there dude! No worries about the late submission either, I will amend the scoreboard in the
next few days and post it. Might not post a revised standings sheet until next time though; I will however have it updated.
