Howdy gamers! Welcome to the next exciting Game of the Month!

RULES
Round 11 begins now and will end at midnight, on Tuesday 31st of October (GMT).
The aim of the game is to score as many points as possible.

No cheating allowed (be fair alright?)
Single coin/credit game only (where applicable). No continues allowed - start each game
from the beginning.
GAME INFO
Use the Parent set of the game - "Galaxian (Namco set 1)" [galaxian.zip]
DIP switch settings - Defaults
Remember, no score is too high or too low. But above all else, let's have as much fun with
this competition as we've had with previous ones.

taken part in it, so much for an absolute classic!

It's a difficult game cos of the forced fire rate. Never a favorite of mine for that reason; felt
Galaga was a needed step up when I was a kid. But I have gotten into the spirit of it, some,
with decent though not stellar results.

Yeah! What he said.......without the decent results.......
Galaga was definitely an improvement in gameplay IMHO.

I think it's because Galaxian is one of the rare cases where the Sequel is better....
I mean Galaxian is a classic undoubtably....
but Galaga... Now that is a game
...btw... this is the score i got when I played Galaxian a few months back in a different
forum's GOTW comp... I was in 13th place... The winner got 85,380 points

In all fairness though, Galaxian was real "eye candy" when it was released.
I remember seeing it playing (the attract screen) on some HD TVs in a store a couple of years
ago. I had forgotten how cool it looked. So I went home and got the rom for it - along with
the roms for all the hacks.

Yes I agree! 'Part 4' is a good one, or even 'Part X' for those who like fastshoot option
