The key to a high score is learning how to link kills with your secondary attack to get the score
multiplier to 16x.

That's how I did it yeah...
Here is a recording I made from when we played it at RetroRoms...
Cave Shooters are notorious for being difficult to make working recordings so
you'll need this version of Mame to play it back properly...
http://wolfmame.marpirc.net/wolfmameplus-0106.exe
...which I was informed at the time to be the best version for making recordings.
It still doesn't play back perfectly but will give you an idea how I play it.

Heheh..I am with you guys at the moment. I racked up over 400k... thought I'd made the table
with ease... then realised I'd need to get into the millions to do it! Sheesh!
Off now to check out that multiplier. Actually I had noticed some little scores popping up when I
was playing - 2x, 4x etc, but I thought it was an 'accuracy' or a 'shoot certain things in the right
order' kind of thing. Personally I blame Ikaruga for that!

Here is a little hint guys. It is a cheat but I wouldn't say it gives anyone an advantage.
insert a coin, then hold down the B button while you press start.
This will add a little multiplier timer below your health. It helps you get a feel for how long you
have between kills to keep the multiplier running.

So close to breaking 4 million.
It is frustrating when you make it so far, then just blow all your lives right in a row.

Stage 2......I need more "force field" protection and I haven't noticed any ways to refill it other
than to get a new character after dying. The last score I posted is still my best score. I've been
mainly using/playing the same character on each attempt so now I think I will try using the
other two for awhile and see if that improves my scores.

It is possible to get more force field. You need to have max power ups and your bonus power
ups (the red boxes that replace the energy power ups) to 200. Then if you don't have a full
force field bar all the power ups will turn into force field refills. This only lasts, though, as long
as it takes the 200 bonus power ups to count down to 0. You can start collecting the bonus
power ups till you reach 200 again and start the force refill refill all over again. I hope that
made sense.

It's a bit late now, but check out our discussion on the previous page - you have to make use of
the score multiplier feature using your secondary fire button. Try and get it up to x16 to max
your score.
