Water Services Unveils New
Easy-To-Read Bill
B
eginning in July, you will receive
a new, easy-to-read monthly
statement from Water Services.
In order to improve the customer
experience, we’ve worked hard to
update your monthly statement with
improved graphics, charts, and other
useful information.
Look inside this month’s statement
for a helpful guide that describes your
new bill.
• In 2012, we treated an average
of 112 million gallons of drinking
water per day, enough water to
fill approximately 175 Olympicsized swimming pools each day.
• Each month we test more than
1,700 water samples that are
collected from throughout
Kansas City, an average of 60
samples per day.
• Each day we test your drinking
water for over 280 contaminants,
more than three times the
number required for testing
by the U.S. Environmental
Protection Agency.
