ABOUT LA MUSA AWARDS
The Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame (LSHOF)
honors the biggest names in music at the
star-studded La Musa Awards. The 2014 Gala
celebration, which honors both legendary
songwriters, as well as the top writers of today,
is set for Saturday October 18 at The Ritz
Carlton South Beach in Miami Beach, Florida.
Over 500 guests – songwriters, producers, artists,
musicians and music industry executives,
publishers and music rights organizations come
together to pay tribute to acclaimed Latin
songwriters of some of the most beloved songs.
About the Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame
The Latin Songwriters Hall Of Fame (LSHOF) was founded by two prolific and
accomplished hit-makers producers Desmond Child and Rudy Perez under the
auspices of the Songwriters Hall Of Fame in New York. Their vision was to create
an organization exclusively devoted to recognizing and spotlighting the artistic
achievements of Latin music makers.
The Latin Songwriters Hall Of Fame mission is to educate, preserve, honor and
celebrate the legacy of the greatest Latin songwriters. LSHOF is committed to developing and inspiring
international Latin songwriters through master class workshops, showcases, scholarships, digital initiatives,
as well as an international songwriting contests.
Future plans call for the creation of an interactive Museum and traveling exhibits to reach communities all
over the world.
“I believe that the founding of the Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame is of extreme cultural
importance. In the 500 years that Latin songwriting has been going on, we have never
had a Hall of Fame to preserve, honor and celebrate the legacies of the body of work
that paved the way for songwriters like me.” - Rudy Perez, LSHOF Co-Founder and Producer
