GC C5000 has highest performances and able to meet wide range of applications. This is completely automatic, flexible, versatile instrument features wide range of detectors, injectors and external automatic samplers and other devices. Common solutions All the chromatographs “Chromatec-Crystal” series have some common design solutions. Both C2000M and C5000 have the same components: • common design, disposition of basic units, oven volume • detectors, injectors, rotor valves • operating controller and other electronic components • flow and pressure gas controllers • Chromatec Analytic software to operate GC, provide data collection and processing • consumables and spare parts • additional devices (autosampler, headspace sampler , thermal desorber and so on) Similar design makes operating GC rather convenient and effective. Thanks to unification of all GCs provide equally stable high performances in sensitivity, repeatability and reliability. Differences C5000 has wider possibilities in comparison with C2000M. Laboratory Gas Chromatographs Units of GC are designed in accordance with the requirements of maximum reliability and usability Units' disposition Units are arranged in GC on the base of modular principle. So you can easily use as simple one-channel and complicated multi-channel GCs. If necessary, mounting new detectors, valves and other units may be easily performed. Most of the units are disposed on the top platform which enables to access these when operating or servicing. Detectors Eight universal and selective commonly-used detectors are available to be supplied with Chromatec-Crystal GC series, ranging from TCD to quadrupole MSD. Assembling technology and pure materials quality guarantee robust characteristics and reliable work of detectors. Its design is specially developed in order to provide easy access to target parts of units. Full list of detectors is given on 11 page Oven GCs from Chromatec, amid Russian analogues, have the best oven considering the complex of performances, defining its efficiency: • Dynamic characteristics (heating and cooling rate) • Temperature setpoint accuracy • Actual oven volume These characteristics determine basic key customer features such as retention time repeatability, minimum time between analyses, GC columns installing convenience. Oven performances for C5000 are better then for C2000M. Besides, C5000 may be connected to cooling system which enables to set temperatures from 0 oC (without special cooling agents) Special-purpose decisions Along with standard decisions for routine work we offer purposely developed sophisticated GC models using original pneumatic schemes, special materials and technical decisions. All the GCs are tested in labs in accordance with analysis method requirements. Laboratory Gas Chromatographs Sample injection devices (injectors, sampling valves …) Sample injection devices developed on the base of long-term researches and operating experience. There are various kinds of injectors and sampling valves appropriate for injection of any sample with good accuracy and repeatability. For detailed information see p.11 Digital gas flow and pressure control Digital gas flow and pressure control simplifies daily operation and ensures flexibility of GC. Fluctuations of ambient temperature and pressure compensate automatically, so accurate retention times of the components provide in various conditions. Continuous flame monitoring in flame detectors and leak check gives confidence in operating results and guarantee safety. With digital gas control GC work becomes more accurate and flexible. This reduces the time spent on system setting and increases its functionality. Gas valves Gas valves in GC are intended for injection of gas samples, switching or backflushing packed or capillary columns. There may be valves manual or automatic, heated or non-heated. Valves usage in pneumatic schemes makes it possible to perform complicated analyses at one injection. It is possible to use both Chromatec-manufactured valves and valves from other manufacturers (Valco, Restek). Full digital control GC method stores all the parameters of the operating mode: gas flow and pressure rates, temperatures, valve time-switching, configuration parameters etc. Just recall the method to proceed to another analysis. The GC automatically performs all the necessary settings so exactly that you do not need to reconfigure graduating procedure when starting recalled method. Built-in operating controller provides independent work of the computer and has many service functions. It is easy to transform into NPD by replacing the jet. When combining with nickel catalyst system, FID is suitable for carbon oxide and dioxide analysis at ppm-level. • Thermal Conductivity detector (TCD) has two sensitive filaments, TCD has automatic protection from overheat of the filaments, automatic adjustment base line. Besides there is TCD modification with corrosion resistant filaments. • Flame-photometric detector (FPD) is the selective detector for phosphorus or sulfurcontaining substances. The inert jet exclude contact sample with the metal surface, thereby preventing sorption of labile components. FPD combined with FI-indicator (flame-ionization) enables to observe hydrocarbon peaks when performing sulfur-containing components at trace level • Electron-capture detector (ECD) is the selective detector for halogenated organic compound such as pesticides, PCBs and chlorinated solvents.
