Adult Ceili Mini-Session at Laytonsville!
(Six-week session)
This class will focus on basic fundamentals
of reel, light jig, and slip jig, and ceili
dancing. Should be a lot of fun and good
exercise! No experience or dance shoes
needed!

Spring Pre-School Class at Laytonsville!
(Six-week session)
Basic Introduction to Irish culture, music,
and dance for Pre School Dancers Ages 3 - 4

Hurley Snow Day Policy
Reminder – In the case of inclement weather, the
Hurley School of Irish Dance follows the decisions
of the Montgomery County School Closings for
Laytonsville classes and Frederick County School
Closings for Urbana classes. An email will also be
sent and all class cancellations will be posted online
at www.hurleyirishdancers.com

Other News and Events
Updated Hurley Team Dress Design
As you may already know, Annie has been working
closely with Shamrock Stitchery (the company who
makes our current red team dresses) to create an
updated team dress. Our trial dress is almost finished,
and as long as we are happy with the final team dress
we will be able to order them on a rolling basis this
January. Stay tuned!
Performance Opportunities
All dancers will have the opportunity to sign up for St.
Patrick’s Day performances via our school website. Go
to www.hurleyirishdancers.com/members and click on
“View Upcoming Performance Schedule and
Opportunities.” No signup needed for parades – all are
welcome!! Performance opportunities will also be sent
via email this year.
Hurley School Feis Planning
Our 2nd Annual School Feis will be Sunday, May 24th
(Memorial Day Weekend). Are you interested in the
planning side of things? If so contact Shauneen
Miranda at [email protected]. The next
committee meeting is Sunday, February 1st at 1:00
PM. Want to reserve a volunteer position for the day
of the feis? If so contact Dana Walker our volunteer
coordinator at [email protected]. Otherwise

World Championships in Montreal
Congratulations to Bridget Reese, who will be
representing Hurley at the World Championships in
Montreal, Canada this coming April in the Girls U18
Solo competition. Qualifying for the World
Championships is a HUGE accomplishment! We are
so proud of Bridget and wish her the best of luck!
