PRACTICAL INFORMATION
• The historical first edition of the Sportaccord Combat Games are
taking place in Beijing, China 28 August – 4 September 2010.
WAKO are sincerely proud to be a part of such big happening,
celebrating the Martial Art and Combat Sports. We congratulate that
you have athletes and referees qualified and we do hope this will be
a highlight in their career as well as memorable for all included
personnel from WAKO.
• All practical information about program of the games, arrival,
departure, visa, hotels etc will be sent directly to your federation
concerning your teams. The organizer in Beijing will cover all travel
and accommodation costs for up to 120 people for our Sport.
• We will distribute information direct to your federation from now on,
both newsletters from Sportaccord as well as practical and technical
information. Please also for the future, respect all mails coming from
the Organizers in Beijing and respond them.
PRACTICAL INFORMATION
Athletes
• We have name of all qualified athletes. Those will be
covered all travel and accomodation expences. The list
is to be found in a separate document.
• If some of the qualified athletes, for some reason are not
able to participate, WAKO will name the next athlete
from the list based on the results from the 2009
Championships. The athlete that lost to the qualified
athlete will granted the place and duly informed through
their federation.
• If any withdrawl from your athlete, it is essential that this
is informed to Mr. Espen Lund.
PRACTICAL INFORMATION
Coaches
• Since there are many qualified countries, the number of coaches
that will be covered all travel and accomodation expences will be at
maximum 1 pr country. We know that is not enough for some teams,
so we need the name of the extra staff you need. However all travel
and accomodation expences must be payed by the national
federation.
• The extra personnel will be granted normal accreditation. WAKO
must approve the total number your country nominates.
• We will inform about prize packages when ready from the organizer.
• If any changes of names it is essential that this is informed to Mr.
Espen Lund.
PRACTICAL INFORMATION
Referees/Judges
• Since the number of athletes and coaches exceed the limit of the 120 people that will
be covered by the organizer in Beijing, the countries must pay all travel and
accomodation for the referees and judges. Accreditation will be given.

WAKO have nominated and will invite referees and judges from your country that are
qualified. The requirement we have is participation in the selected events next year,
in order to be fully prepared. If any withdrawl from your referee or change of names, it
is essential that this is informed to Mr. Espen Lund. We only allow A-class referees.
See enclosed lists of all referees. We will inform about prize packages when ready
from the organizer.
Required participation in events for referees:
• Fullcontact: Both World Cups in both Szeged and in Rimini
• Semicontact: Irish Open and either World Cup in Szeged or World Cup in Rimini.
• Low-Kick: TBD
PRACTICAL INFORMATION
Technical delegates
• WAKO will bring a minimum of technical
delegates in order to run the tournament for
kickboxing. The staff will be 5-6 people. Those
are informed separately.
Presidents, people from your federation or
other guests
• Your federation simply has to book those
separately and according to your own need.
PRACTICAL INFORMATION
Visa
• We will come back with detailed information about VISA procedures.
Temperature and climate
• The normal temperature in Beijing at the end of august will be
approx 30-35 Celcius. So prepare for warm and humid weather.
Price packages
• We will later inform about the packages that the organizer in Beijing
can offer, both for the needed personnel (extra coaches and all
referees) you want to send and for families and supporters
Travel procedures
• We will come back with all practical information about travel
procedures for the teams and other information in due time.
FAMILIES, SUPPORTERS &
OTHER OFFICIALS
If your federation wants to send other officials from your federation (presidents
etc..) or wants to invite guests, families and supporters you are free to do that.
We will provide information of such later on. WAKO will not organize booking
etc. This must be taken by each nation. We will just provide contact details.
Hotels in Beijing:
• The Organizer in Beijing will organize packages that can be offered the
varoius countries.
