Off-season Incentives
If handbells are received between November
through April, you’ll receive a 5% discount on
the total amount. Discounts are not applicable
to shipping costs.

We are Continuing to Change the Way
Schulmerich Does Refurbishments
Schulmerich has noticed far too many handbells arriving at our
factory after being damaged by subpar third party workmanship.
We have seen foreign parts not designed for our bells used to
“improve” our products. We have seen castings that have been
compromised beyond our tuning tolerances due to improper
polishing. We’ve seen worse. In each case, our customers - who
are as passionate about our instruments as we are - look to us for
help undoing the damage. Schulmerich is therefore taking action
to preserve your warranty and to protect your Schulmerich®
Handbells and MelodyChime® Instruments.
Many of you have expressed a desire for more clarity around who
can service Schulmerich® instruments in a manner that preserves your
instrument’s integrity. It is for this reason that we are establishing a
limited number of factory-authorized refurbishing facilities
world-wide whose work will be performed under factory supervision.
The Schulmerich® factory will also continue to offer a full range
of repair and refurbishing services. Work performed either by the
factory or at Authorized Refurbishment Centers will continue to
receive Schulmerich’s lifetime warranty on our handbells and will be
backed by the full force of Schulmerich’s tradition of customer service.
We will no longer sell to any unauthorized repairer or
refurbisher parts to undertake any type of refurbishment
of our instruments.
In 2014 Schulmerich has expanded its network of Authorized
Refurbishment Centers with two additional centers, now for a
total of five.
These centers have been approved based upon the quality of
their work, customer satisfaction, and their commitment to the
preservation of our standard of excellence. They have undergone
extensive training and are ready to provide factory authorized
quality work. At the conclusion of each refurbishment season,
Schulmerich hosts a Summit Meeting of its ARC managers for
review and to provide additional up-to-date training on the latest
product developments.
Four Levels of Refurbishment Service
Theater and Recording
Choose whether your bells need a top-to-bottom Complete Refurbishment, our Essential Handbell Refurbishment, or our
basic Clean, Polish and Adjust. We provide a refurbishment that meets your needs. Please be informed that all our facilities
will now only use our Optional Polishing Method to help preserve the integrity of our tuning standards. Because this method
is less aggressive natural blemishes/marks might remain on an aging casting.
For the ultimate theater/recording
experience, contract Schulmerich for
Handbell refurbishment followed by
a concert/recording session.
1 Clean, Polish and Adjust Refurbishment
Your refurbished bells will be set up ready for your
performance at a special rate of $1,000. The session,
located minutes away from our factory, will include
theatre set up, recording technicians, lunch for
participants, and up to four hours of recording time.
An edited CD will be created and provided to the
artist(s). The event may be scheduled weekdays
between 11am and 3pm. Please inquire about our
video recording options as well.

Shipping Program
Because Schulmerich understands the cost related to shipping
your sets across the US, we have arranged special shipping rates
with our shipping carrier.
Our Convenient Refurbishment Shipping Program (‘CRSP’)
now provides boxes, shipping tape, and labels to make your life a
little easier. We will make all the shipping arrangements for you.
The Convenient Refurbishment Shipping Program is offered
at $80.00 per octave (round trip flat rate in the 48 contiguous
states). Just pick-up the phone and call. It’s that easy. Also, for
your peace of mind, every bell shipped under ‘CRSP’ is insured
by Schulmerich from the moment it leaves your door to the
moment it’s returned.

Quick-Adjust™ Clapper Heads.

Having your refurbishment performed by a Schulmerich®
Authorized Refurbishment Center assures the continuation of your
Schulmerich® Lifetime Warranty. If your bells were purchased on
May 15, 1984 or prior – before we started our Lifetime Warranty –
here’s good news: Get a Complete Refurbishment and we’ll include
full warranty coverage for your bells. Have your Refurbishment
completed by the professionals you trust.
This program is optional. Customers can make their own
shipping arrangements. Also, customers may deliver their
handbells directly to the Schulmerich® factory or to any of
our Authorized Refurbishment Centers.
