The Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg is the world‘s largest event dedicated to the aircraft interiors industry. Each year, everyone interested in
finding out about innovations and new developments in aircraft cabin interiors meets here on the Elbe river, the top location for the development,
production, installation and servicing of aircraft interiors. Nowhere else
in the world is there such a gathering of so many specialized suppliers,
service providers and dealers. Airbus and Boeing, among others, take advantage of this forum to launch new products and present them to a wide
range of industry professionals.
Located in hall B6, the "Hanse-Pavilion" has drawn crowds right from
the start. It is a major meeting place for visitors and exhibitors alike. We
are excited to be bringing together many very different companies and
organizations in Hanse-Aerospace e.V. at this event. By working together,
we can provide a broad view of the innovative strength and capabilities of
small and medium-sized suppliers and service providers in the aviation
industry.
For many years, Hanse-Aerospace e.V. has made it its mission to pool
the interests of these companies and to formally represent them. One result of these efforts is the innovative collaboration platform SCAN. OEM‘s
and suppliers from the aerospace industry can use SCAN to find partners
to help promote their projects, ideas and research initiatives. Innovative
suppliers and service providers can present themselves on the international market, allowing potential business partners from around the world
to discover them.
I hope the fair is a success for all of the exhibitors and visitors, and I am

HANSE-AEROSPACE e. V. is an association of aviation and space industries. Its membership is made up of aviation and space companies representing a wide spectrum ranging from development companies, manufacturers and maintenance firms to service companies specialising in the
aviation and space industries.
About ten percent of all the specialists employed in the German aviation
and space industries are employed by HANSE-AEROSPACE e.V. members.
Altogether our members turn over about eleven billion Euros annually, approximately one and a half billion of it in the aviation and space industries.
The HANSE-AEROSPACE e.V. association represents its members‘ common interests. Its other main tasks are advising its members, coordinating
regional activities, bundling member interests and resources, ensuring
cooperation between them, facilitating common product development
and the exchange of information between them and consulting on, and
coordinating, activities with the city of Hamburg as well as smoothing
international relations. Member companies mutually define memberrelevant problems of interest to all in task-oriented specialised groups
such as those on strategy, personnel, engineering, production and development processes etc. Other subjects of specialised interest are dealt
with in ad hoc working group such as e.g. certification and airworthiness
groups. The association maintains relations with regional economic policy representation bodies so that region-specific infrastructural, research
and technology problems can be dealt with. The association cooperates
nationally with the BDLI and its regional bodies.
Many cooperation agreements with European SME associations and
HANSE-AEROSPACE e.V. lead to a Europe-wide network of expertise in
aerospace. This transnational approach is the main emphasis of our future activities as Europe-wide concentration of effort and facilities is of
existential significance to the indigenous aviation industry.

Gehr Yacht and Aircraft Interior stands for exclusive interior outfitting. Our customers are
owners of private jets, helicopters and yachts. In a workshop of more than 6000 m², qualified personnel is working according to all client wishes. In order to emphasize our high level
of quality, Gehr was certified according to EASA regulations for the production organization
(Part 21 G) and maintenance organization (Part 145) in April 2013. Within the scope of our
approval, we will be authorized to release parts and appliances in accordance with the applicable airworthiness provisions. This year our design office moved from Hamburg to our
main office in Lunestedt for a better customer service.

In the Department of Automotive and Aeronautical Engineering the students learn about
engineering and design of vehicles and aircrafts with the help of modern computer and
laboratory technology. The study majors include automotive design, aircraft design and
lightweight structures both in the fields of automotive and aeronautics. As a unique feature,
the major Cabin and Cabin Systems was established recently.
