Broomball & Pizza with Mr. Tony Ilrbeck
Hear Ye! Broomball is back by
popular demand! Centuries
ago, Vikings engaged in a brutal
sport called Knattleikr. While
some Broomball authorities
believe their beloved game to be
descended directly from Knattleikr, the primary Viking attribute
of skull-crushing violence has since been dropped from the game.
Today’s broomball is easy to learn, inexpensive to play, and fun for
all ages.
• No maximum or minimum number of students
• Saturday, June 20, 2015, 3:45 p.m., Sherwood Ice Arena
• Savory and delicious pizza provided
• $50 per student

Free Dress Day
Style is the answer to everything. To do a dull thing with style is
preferable to doing a dangerous thing without it.
~ Charles Bukowski, “Style”
For one extra day this school year, give your favorite St. Clare
fashionistas the invaluable gift of individual expression. Spend
twenty-five dollars to give the world an extra look at the personal
style of our young men and women in uniform. (Free Dress rules per
the St. Clare School Handbook still apply…whatev.)
• $25 per student
• March 6, 2015, St. Clare School

Annual St. Clare School Father/Daughter Gala
The Father/Daughter Dance is always a
fun-filled evening for our charming St.
Clare girls and the special men in their
lives, so grab your boogie shoes and hit
the dance floor. Resurrect those prom
night dance moves as you work up a
sweat. Swing dancing, line dancing, the
Limbo, pop-and-lock…everyone gets a
chance to show their stuff (just no slam
dancing, please). Attendees will be served
a hearty Italian feast complete with salad
and breadsticks, along with some ice cold adult beverages for the
dads. This year’s theme is “An Evening at the Shore”, so we expect
the daddies to look a little fancy in their seersucker and sandals.
Dancing, prancing, dining, and doting on your daughters…make
fond memories that will last a lifetime.
• $50 per couple, $20 per additional sibling
• Dinner and non-alcoholic drinks
• April 17, 2015, 6 to 8:30 p.m., St. Clare Parish Hall

Remember: the Masters’ champion wears the green jacket. Green is the

paddle bid
Tuition assistance
One of the defining characteristics of our community is the
support shown to others. It is a blessing that our school and
preschool can offer families help with tuition. Tonight’s paddle bid
for tuition assistance ensures that families who want to provide a
St. Clare education for their children have that opportunity.
St. Clare’s tuition assistance program is designed to help families
in our community, particularly when financial setbacks occur. Not
surprisingly, tuition assistance requests have been rising during
the past several years. Year after year, the generosity of those that
support this program enables St. Clare to continue providing this
vital assistance.
Each of the school and preschool’s vision statements commit us to
be a community that invites everyone to share and celebrate the
transforming power of God’s love through worship, education and
service. With our roots firmly grounded in Gospel values, we ask
for your help tonight in giving to the tuition assistance program.
On behalf of the children and families we serve, thank you for
opening your hearts and making this possible!

paddle bid
OMSI Science Education
St. Clare had a dream to make science come alive for our children. At the
auction waaaaaay back in 2009, families raised their paddles high to make
St. Clare an official OMSI Partner. Their gift and sacrifice funded SIX years
of assemblies, in-class programs/labs, remote visits, and additional teacher
training. Now the well has run dry. We are down to just a little over $1,000,
which is not enough to continue this powerhouse of a Science, Technology,
Engineering and Math (STEM) program for another year.
Tonight, it’s a throwback paddle to fund one of the most successful
“extra” programs we’ve ever had at St. Clare. Raise your paddles high to
continue the OMSI School Partnership at St. Clare!
Your donation to this restricted fund:
•Will bring scientists into the classroom for assemblies and in-class . .........
experimentation
• Will support field trips for hands-on learning at OMSI’s state-of-the . .
art labs
• Will benefit students in every classroom!
• Will fund professional development for our teachers, a critical .................
component in maintaining the momentum of the OMSI School ...............
Partnership
• Costs approximately $5,000 every school year
OMSI has it all and supports our STEM curriculum at every grade level.
Help make science come alive for every student at St. Clare!
Let’s continue the St. Clare OMSI Partnership!
All proceeds for the St. Clare Auction, including the paddle bids are
distributed 95% to St. Clare School and 5% to St. Clare Preschool. St.
Clare School parents please note, because paddle bids are for specific,
additional projects that are above and beyond the operational expenses of
the school, contributions to the paddle bid do not count toward FFG.
