Beaches Resorts is now thrilled to offer you a $500 Wedding Credit, $500 in Bonus Credit
plus a $500 Amoro for Sandals Jewelry Credit to use towards your WeddingMoon.
*The $1,500 WeddingMoons® Credit promotion is applicable only for new WeddingMoons® of 6 paid nights or longer in all room categories booked between
September 1, 2014 until further notice for travel September 1, 2014 through December 31, 2016 (no blackout dates). For the $500 Wedding Credit, eligible
bookings may elect to take either i) a Free Beautiful Beginnings Wedding; or ii) a $500 wedding credit that can be applied to design a customized destination
wedding or a pre-designed theme. The $500 wedding credit selections must include the purchase of a wedding cake. The $500 wedding credit cannot be applied

Jamaican Wedding Documentation & Requirements
In order to be legally married in Jamaica, there is documentation required as well as government requirements.
Please read over these items carefully and advise us of any questions you may have.


















Residency requirement of 48 hours (including weekends and holidays)
State issued birth certificate
All pages of all court certified final divorce decrees with judge’s signature. Divorce Decrees MUST have
the following written: “Final Decree”, “Final Judgment” or “Dissolution of Marriage”.
State issued death certificates with related marriage certificates (if applicable)
Legal name change or legal adoption documents if applicable (if applicable)
Passports will not be accepted in lieu of birth certificate
An original notarized sworn affidavit referring to documents specifically may also be provided to
accompany photocopy of document
A late fee of US$150 will apply for all documents received within 21 days prior to the arrival date
Original/Certified documents are also accepted however, documents will not be returned
Please send via courier service NOTARIZED PHOTOCOPIES (with the valid notary’s original INK signature &
stamp) of the required documents for both the bride and groom at least 60 DAYS prior to the arrival date
All Documents for both bride & groom must be submitted with a completed Wedding Information Form.
All required documents are due 60 days prior to travel for ALL islands.
A legal translator must translate all documents in a foreign language to English. Both Notarized versions
must be submitted.
Wedding and ReTie the Knot dates and times vary and are subject to public holidays and availability.
Couples will only be married at the resort in which they are booked.
Additional fees apply for Catholic and Jewish weddings ceremonies.
Couples must notify the Wedding Department at 1-877-BEACHES of number of guests attending the
wedding at least 30 days prior to the arrival date.
Day passes apply for guests not staying at Beaches Resort. Please contact the Wedding Department for
pricing information at 1-800-327-1991, press option 4, and enter extension 4006.
ReTie the Knot Documentation & Requirements
Couples must fax a copy of the state issued marriage certificate to the Wedding Department at (305) 668-2762 and
hand carry the original to the resort.
Please note: Wedding Passes are intended for genuine guests and not third party providers of services. Use of third
party vendors for photography or other services that are offered by Beaches is strictly prohibited.
Passport Update: Effective January 23, 2007, the US Department of State and Homeland Security require all travelers
to and from the Americas, Caribbean, and Bermuda to have a Valid Passport. Non-US Citizens should contact the
airline regarding the specific entry requirements that apply to their nationality.

additional hours. By choosing a Wedding Photography Partner, you will have the opportunity to communicate directly with your photographer
before you arrive at the resort, and establish a relationship before your big day!

Traditional
This is the traditional form of a
wedding video as everyone knows it.
It is edited in chronological order
and follows the string of events with
music added where fitting.
Vintage
The Vintage package is edited in an
artistic way and incorporates old
Jamaican and Caribbean music and is
also edited in chronological order
but is portraying a more nostalgic
view of the Caribbean.
Contemporary
This is a modern form of a wedding
video with little audio. Only key audio is
being used as well as key background
noise. The video is edited according to
the music that was picked by the bride
and groom. It is edited along the lines of
a “music video” style.

All private functions may be held in select areas at the resort. In the case of inclement weather, functions will be moved to an
indoor location. All private functions must be booked and paid for at least 45 days prior to the wedding date to ensure
availability. Guaranteed guest count for your wedding is due 72- hours prior to the event and refunds are not issued on no-shows
or cancellations. All prices are in US Dollars and are subject to change without notice. Day pass is required for all non-resort

What are the wedding sites on property?
Most of our resorts offer a beach, a garden and a gazebo location. The location is chosen during your resort consultation.
What flavors are available for the wedding cake?
You have a choice of vanilla, chocolate, Caribbean fruit or Red Velvet.
Can I hire local vendors such as photographers, caterers and décor providers for my wedding?
The use of third party vendors for photography or other services that are offered by Beaches is strictly prohibited.
When will I receive my marriage certificate?
Your marriage certificate will be sent via air courier 6-8 weeks after your wedding.
What is the best way to travel with a wedding dress?
Any arrangement for transportation of a wedding dress should be discussed directly with your airline carrier.
Is there Tuxedo rental available in the island?
While we do not offer tuxedo rentals on resort; some resorts have information for local formalwear providers (varies by
island). Keep in mind, for the Caribbean climates, you may want to consider a light weight alternative for the groom.
Who will assist me with my wedding once I arrive?
The Resort Wedding Team will be anxious to meet you and will be instrumental in making your dream day a reality.
When do I finalize my wedding details?
Details should be finalized 60 days prior to arrival; your Wedding Planner will guide you through this process.
Is my wedding legal in the country where I reside?
Yes, the marriage is a legally binding marriage. You should inquire with your local government regarding name change
procedures, etc.
Can I get married at a different resort than where I am staying?
No, you must get married at the resort where you are staying.
Is there a fee for the use of a personal wedding planner?
At Beaches Resorts, every bride and groom have their own personal pre-wedding and resort wedding planners as part of the
complimentary WeddingMoon® inclusions.
What are the different types of ceremonies I can choose from for my wedding?
A non-denominational minister customarily presides over our ceremonies, but if you wish to inquire about having a nonreligious ceremony or a religious ceremony, please talk to your wedding planner.
Are there any special inclusions for weddings with a group of rooms?
Beaches offer a number of exclusive inclusions for Wedding parties that have 5 rooms or more. Please contact our Groups
department at 1-800-327-1991 ext 46172 to get more information.
Can I bring down my own wedding décor items and favors?
We would not recommend this as there are custom laws that will require you to pay taxes and duties on these items or they
might be confiscated if they are deemed as commercial items. If you decide to take items down with you please note that
there is an applicable set up fee. Please speak with your wedding planner for full details.
Are medical/or blood test required to get married?
Medical tests are not required on any destination where Beaches Resorts are located.
