We fear that the summer is finally coming to
a close, but we are looking forward to an exciting Fall! Cooler weather, changing leaves, and
more fosters in the kennel! We are jam packed
right now with two cats
and ten pups that we
need to find loving
homes for! So, give us a
shout and come find
your new best friend!
They are all looking for
some feet to keep
warm this Winter!
There are some awesome events in the
works for the next few
months and into the
holiday season. Pet portrait nights, an auction,
and a Holiday Shopping
Day are on the agenda
to raise funds for the
fosters. Also, a volunteer
workshop! Keep your
eyes peeled for announcements on these
great events! Our Facebook page and website
are updated daily! Happy
“Back to School” to our
younger followers (and
their parents, too...ha
ha)! Hope to see you
soon, until then...keep
on waggin’!
Foster Spotlight of the Month
Our sweet Miss Doris desperately would love a home
of her own! Doris, although
being 10 years old, is an energetic, spunky gal who can
keep up with even the
youngest of puppies. She is
great with other dogs who
respect her wishes when she
is tired of playing. She
adores people of all ages,
pretty much anyone who
will rub her belly and give
her treats! We do ask that
Doris goes to a home
with older children who
can respect her age.
Doris loves going for
walks and romping
around with her buddies
in the gym. Meet Doris
she will knock your socks
off with her personality!
She loves life and everything in it! You are guaranteed to fall head over
paws in love with her!

Current Fur-Kids Looking For A Family
Tiger Lilly or “Lill”, as we call her
is the sweetest girl you’d ever
want! She is a 1 year old Pit Bull
mix who just loves, loves, loves
people and any attention she
can get! Lilly came to us from
the shelter and we can’t believe
she is still with us??!! Lilly is a fun,
active girl who loves going to
her agility classes and playing
ball. She adores her human
friends but is picky with doggie
friends. Lilly is a very smart girl
and learns things at the drop of
a hat. She will do anything for a
treat and her focus is amazing!
This gorgeous gal needs a family
to love! Won’t you please help
her? Stop in and visit our beautiful Lilly! She’s such a great companion!

just 5
yet. old. She is a Sheltie mix
years
who loves to run around and
have you pretend to chase
her. When you don’t follow
she runs to you with her butt
wiggling a mile a minute! Silly girl! Ava is great with kids
but she is picky about dogs.
She is a pretty mellow pup
overall and would make any
home a much brighter place
to be! She loves to give kisses and snuggle up with her
human friends. She also enjoys her walks with our volunteers in the dog park!

Meet Ruth! She is a 1-2 year old
Husky/Shepherd/Lab mix who
came to us from dog control.
Ruth has a disappointing history
of people who “couldn’t keep
her” and “didn’t want her”, so
we are determined to find her a
loving, stable home. Ruth is a
very sweet girl who loves attention. She is very energetic and
loves to play! She seems to like
other dogs but we recommend
a home with no cats. Ruth loves
to run and play with her toys,
we think she is a real gem! Her
beautiful coloring is a treat to
behold and that mask rivals Zorro’s! Ha! Come see our beautiful
girl, Ruth! She’s patiently waiting for someone to love and
that will love her, forever!

Zuzu is a sweet, gentle, one year
old, Jack Russel/Terrier mix
who’s tail can be used as a deadly weapon as it wags so much!
Ha! Zuzu is a happy go lucky kind
of girl who gets along well with
other dogs. She seems interested in playing with cats but with
no intention of hurting them.
She is the typical puppy who
loves people, toys, and treats!
Zuzu does have an old injury to
her hind leg that was never
treated. We have been doing
cold laser treatments. It doesn’t
bother her though, only walking
with a little limp. She’s a tough
gal! Look at those markings!
Come and visit Zuzu! She’s one
of a kind and with that face and
personality, she won’t be
around long!
Rooney is a domestic longhair
who is about a year old now. It
didn’t work out with his previous adopters as Rooney is
sometimes a very rough player.
He would do better in a home
with another cat to play with
and older children. He has a bit
of silly kitty in him and is full of
personality. He gets along
great with his friend, Jezzi!
Rooney is a very loving kitten
and, in the right home, will do
well. Rooney loves to keep us
company while we’re doing
laundry and is the first to inspect our folding. Ha! Look at
those gray eyebrows!! Come
out and see our meow-tastic
friend, Rooney.
Jezzibel came from the shelter
and is the prettiest girl! Jezzibel is an 10 month old Calico
and just loves, loves, loves to
be loved! She’d be purr-fect for
your home! She loves her
friend Rooney and she has also
done well with a few of the
foster dogs. She’s a pretty laid
back kitty who likes to explore
and snuggle. Jezzi can most
often be found sunning herself
in the window, lounging on the
couch, or snuggling in the
warm laundry while we fold it.
She loves to chase Rooney and
play with her mouse toys. Her
beautiful coloring is not to be
missed. She is a gorgeous gal
looking for a new family to
love. Come see our Jezzibel!

Don’t Shop! Adopt!
Purdy is our newest member at
Paws, he is such a special guy
and has been through a lot in
his life already. Purdy was
picked up by the Shelter as a
stray. He was dehydrated, tired,
and dumped off all alone. Purdy
has been treated for mange
and is now working on getting
that beautiful fur back! He’s doing great, it’s already filling in.
Purdy is a sweet, gentle boy
who seems to be good with
other dogs. We do not recommend cats, he’s a little “too”
interested in them. Purdy loves
to play ball and he loves snuggle and attention. He’d make a
great lap warmer for the fast
approaching Winter. Head in
and meet our darling Purdy! We
guarantee you’ll be in love!
Miss Doris is also back with us
at Paws after it didn’t work out
in her new home. Doris is a 10
year old Beagle mix who just
adores running and exploring..
She gets along well with dogs
her size and doesn’t mind cats.
Doris loves to play with her
doggie friends, and go for
walks with our volunteers. Doris is 10, so we are asking that
she go to a home where there
are older children who can respect her age. While she is an
active 10, she does require her
down time. She is a happy girl
still full of life and spunk! She
has much love to give to the
family who will give it right
back! Stop out and say hello to
our little lady, Doris!

Tyrone is a four year old Pug
mix. He came to us from the
City Shelter and is a little
sweetie, weighing in at only 16
lbs. Tyrone does not like other
dogs so he will have to be the
only dog in the home. He did
fine with our trainers dog, but
not so well with others. Tyrone
loves to run and scamper
around out in the dog park and
he adores having his belly
rubbed! He loves attention and
playing with toys. Tyrone especially loves his treats!! But who
doesn’t, right? Ha! Make an appointment to come visit Tyrone! He’s waiting for a home
and family to call his own!
Please don’t make him wait
too long!

Betty Jo arrived from the
city shelter along with her
sister, Bobbi Jo! Betty is
definitely the boss of this
pair, she’s always telling
Bobbi what to do. Ha! Betty
is about 5 years old and just
a sweetie. She listens well
and is just a little love bug.
She will happily climb in
your lap for a nap and
some scratchy time! She is
a Rat Terrier and just the
cutest little thing, weighing
in at only 13 pounds. She is
a super gal who would love
a great home and she
would adore going home
with her sister, too!
Bobbi Jo thinks she’s WAY
cuter than her sister Betty!
Who likes the color brown
anyway?? Ha! Bobbi Jo is also
5 years old and a Rat Terrier.
She and Betty are sharing
the same room here at Paws
and have already hung their
“Hunky Dog of the Month”
calendar to keep track of the
days until they get a new
home! Who wants a Justin
Beiber poster anyhow? Ha!
Ha! Bobbi is just as sweet as
her sister and enjoys attention and hugs. She is quick
with a lick on the face and
adores everyone! Stop and
see the sisters soon!
Miss Mitzie is a darling girl
who is ready with a waggy tail
and a smile! She is a tad shy at
first but quickly warms to everyone! Mitzie is a Jack Russell
Mix and about 1-2 years old.
She is full of happy energy
and spunk. She loves her toys
and craves belly rubs and attention. We happily oblige because, well, who can ignore
that cute face and those ears?
We still need to test with cats
and dogs, as she just got
spayed, we have to keep her
low key for a few days. We
will update as we learn more
about this awesome little
chick!

is a non-profit animal rescue organization
based in Upstate NY. PAOC fosters and
adopts pets in need to loving homes. In addition, we also lend support to spay/neuter
programs in area shelters, educate children
and adults in promoting pet health and
proper pet care. Through generous monetary donations, resource donations (toys,
blankets, etc.), and volunteer services, our
group hopes to continue to give a voice to
animals that cannot speak for themselves.
Much “appaws” to all of our supporters!
We thank you and are fortunate to have a community that cares about animals. When
a foster is in need, we have always been able to care for it. We would not be able to
without your help!
A big thank you and many
slobbery kisses from all of our fur-kids to you!
