Utlandsstudier Textil Produktutveckling Butikschef www.hb.se/utbyte [email protected] Det första valet du står mellan om du planerar att läsa utomlands är att läsa som utbytesstudent eller som freemover. Att läsa som utbytesstudent innebär att du använder dig av de avtal som Högskolan i Borås har med universitet över världen. Den termin du läser utomlands tillgodoräknas när du kommer tillbaka och du behöver inte betala några terminsavgifter på den skola du väljer. Som utbytesstudent behöver du inte göra något språktest. Att läsa som freemover innebär att du själv väljer vilket universitet du ska läsa på. Detta kan du göra om skolan du vill gå på inte har ett avtal med högskolan i Borås. Fördelen är att du inte är bunden vid vem högskolan har avtal med. Nackdelarna är att du ofta måste betala terminsavgift vid den skola du väljer, du själv ansvarar för att ta fram information om dina studier och du inte är försäkrad via högskolan utan måste ordna en egen försäkring. Även som freemover kan du få dina studier tillgodoräknade när du återkommer. Du söker som vanlig student och antagning sker med urval på dina betyg eller ansökningsprover. Ofta krävs det också att du gör ett språktest. Steg 1 om du vill studera som utbytesstudent är att lämna in en intresseanmälan till mig. Detta eftersom platserna på våra partneruniversitet är begränsade och om fler studenter söker än vad som finns platser så behöver vi göra ett urval. Sista datum för inlämning för BC och TPU är:15 feb. En intresseanmälan är inte bindande. Skulle fler söka till ett partneruniversitet än vad som finns platser så måste vi göra ett urval. Urvalet baseras på bland annat avslutade kurser och betyg,( dvs. har du tagit alla dina poäng). Mer information står i intresseanmälan blanketten. (Men även de som åker utanför Europa ska fylla i denna för att det ska finnas samlade erfarenheter för de som planerar att åka ut.) Sök upp det universitet ni planerar att åka till och se vad tidigare utbytesstudenter har haft för erfarenheter, i vissa fall har studenter också lämnat ut sina e-mailaddresser så att ni kan maila dem specifika frågor om det universitet ni funderar på att välja. BC och TPU 3 platser Finland: Helsinki Metropolia University Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences is one of the most international universities of applied sciences in Finland. Welcome to Metropolia as an exchange student or teacher! Metropolia welcomes exchange students, teachers and staff from our partner universities all over the world. In 2011, over 350 exchange students studied at Metropolia. Metropolia has 15 international degree programmes in which the language of instruction is English. In addition, many degree programmes where the language of tuition is Finnish offer studies in English for exchange students. There is a genuinely international atmosphere at Metropolia thanks to the abundant teaching in foreign languages, international degree students, foreign lecturers and exchange students. In addition to the exchange students, 800 international degree students who represent more than 90 different nationalities study at Metropolia every year. Helsinki, along with the neighbouring cities of Vantaa, Espoo, and Kauniainen, constitutes what is known as the capital region, or Helsinki Metropolitan Area, with over 1,000,000 inhabitants. As well as being the political centre, it is the cultural, economic, and commercial centre of Finland. Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences is located in the cities of Helsinki, Espoo and Vantaa. Helsinki was founded in 1550 by the Swedish king Gustavus I as a trading port. The sea has always been a focal point of Helsinki’s life. In addition to the industrial traffic that makes use of Helsinki’s harbours, it is possible to take pleasure cruises around the islands and to board some of the world’s largest passenger liners, which make daily trips to Tallinn in Estonia and Stockholm in Sweden. The city of Espoo, immediately to the west of Helsinki, covers a relatively large, mostly residential area. Espoo is a young city that has mainly developed from the mid-20th century. Espoo has its own ‘Silicon Valley’, a large concentration of information technology. Nearly 500 international companies are established in Otaniemi, Espoo, including the headquarters of Nokia. Although some of the earliest settlements in Finland were located in Vantaa, as a city it is relatively young. Vantaa has been built around the railway line from the late 19th century onwards. The international Helsinki-Vantaa airport is also located in Vantaa. BC och TPU 2 platser Finland: Tampere University The City of Tampere and the three higher education institutions (TAMK, TUT, UTA) in Tampere offer students a pleasant and safe urban environment with modern student housing facilities, a broad range of sports and leisure activities and excellent services for students. Tampere is known for its active student life. Students are involved in many cultural events, they organise events and in general keep the wheels moving. There are almost 40,000 students in Tampere and they definitely make their presence felt! Tampere is an excellent city for studying and almost every fifth person living in Tampere is a student. According to several national surveys, Tampere is the most popular city to live and study in Finland. The Tampere region is the second largest region in Finland with its half a million inhabitants. A nice thing about Tampere is that even though it is the largest inland city in Finland, it offers easy access to tranquil, unspoilt landscapes. Nature and the urban environment are in harmony. The city sits on an isthmus between Lakes Näsijärvi and Pyhäjärvi surrounded by vast green forests and beautiful Nordic nature. BC och TPU 1 plats Finland: Lahti University Lahti University of Applied Sciences operates in the fields of business, design and communication, fine arts, music and drama, tourism and hospitality, social and health care, technology and engineering. The strategic foci are on design, environmental technology and promotion of practical innovation processes. LUAS has over 20 degree programs with over 40 specialization lines. Two Bachelor's and one Master's degree programs are taught entirely in English. Lahti is a city of beautiful nature, exciting sporting events, vibrant culture and excellent leisure time facilities - the ideal place for a student! Located by the Lake Vesijärvi and close to the buzz of the capital city Helsinki it offers a stimulating and safe studying environment for both Finnish and international students. The academic year at Lahti University of Applied Sciences is technically divided into two semesters: Autumn semester, 1 Aug - 20 Dec Spring semester, 1 Jan - 31 May Within these semesters each faculty has their own study period and course schedule. Exams are included in the study periods and there are no separate exam weeks. Holiday weeks during the academic year are in late October and in late February. Staden ligger 30 km från huvudstaden Seoul och har en befolkning på 2.6 miljoner. Currently, the University comprises 11 colleges, namely Liberal Arts, Arts, Foreign Languages, Science and Engineering, Human Ecology, Law, Social Sciences, Management, Medicine, Communication, Education, 48 departments, offering 47 master's programs, 22 in-service master's programs, 11 Ph.D. programs, and 16 departments in the School of Continuing Education. The land capacity of the university is about 35 hectares and current student enrolment is 26,000. The university has about 120 sister schools worldwide. UTPU TPU 4 platser Polen: Technical University of Lodz The Lodz University of Technology came into existence in 1945, initially with 3 Faculties of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Chemistry. Together with its development new faculties were established, up to the present number of 9 faculties, 70 institutes and departments and 120 specializations. In 1992 the International Faculty of Engineering was set up with English and French as its languages of instruction. TUL offers a possibility of obtaining the following degrees: Bachelor of Art, Bachelor of Science, Master of Science and Doctorate of Philosophy. There are 20 000 students and approximately 3 000 staff members at the University. In 2002 a large, fully computerised library was opened. There are dormitories, canteens, a cinema, sports teams, Radio Żak broadcasting throughout the region and managed entirely by students, galleries? Within the campus area there are student clubs, two bank branches, a travel agency, a post office, cafés? Apart from the Student Committee plenty of other student organizations operate here as well. Undoubtedly each student can find here appropriate conditions for development, education and entertainment. International Faculty of Engineering offers ten study programmes taught entirely in English in cooperation with the faculties. This is the place where synergy between different fields (technological, natural, exact, social and health sciences) is established. This is the place where new ideas are born. With its scenic location in Mustamäe, TUT is the only campus-type university in the Baltic countries and one of the most compact university campuses in Europe. It takes its name from the Benedictine Monks who founded an Abbey on the Gladbach (a narrow brook) in around 974. The Middle Ages saw linen weaving emerge in Mönchengladbach, later to be replaced by cotton spinning in the 18th century. Further progress led to a flourishing textile and garment trade with a whole range of guilds and trades forming as well. Today, industry focuses on steel, mechanical and automotive engineering plus electrical and food industries. Yet, the remaining textile manufacturers still enjoy an excellent international reputation. TPU 2 platser Tyskland: Reutlingen Reutlingen University was founded in 1855 as a College of Weaving and Textiles. It was to be an institute for textile teaching and research, founded on the initiative of local industry, the town of Reutlingen and the Kingdom of Württemberg, and it has remained true to its roots right up to the present day. Reutlingen University still offers facilities for spinning, weaving and knitting. Our unique research building, covering 7,700 square metres, accommodates the extensive workshops for textile teaching and experimentation. The large laboratories for the spinning of cotton, worsted and woollen yarns, weaving, weft and warp knitting, and textile finishing are located in this building. Campus – Lecture rooms, Cafeteria, University Library, Sports Hall and Student Residences: on our campus everything is close at hand. Here in Reutlingen’s suburb of Hohbuch at the edge of town we are near to the green countryside but still very close to the action: Stuttgart, Tübingen and the hills of the Swabian Alb are all within easy reach. Reutlingen University welcomes a large number of international students every year. There are more than 80 nationalities represented on our campus, a real enrichment for our student body. Some of these international students are here in Reutlingen for just one or two semesters as exchange students, and are taking courses either in German or in English, depending on their programme TPU 3 platser Turkiet: Gaziantep University Overview Gaziantep is the largest trade and industrial center in the west of Southeastern Turkey. Culturally and socio-economically, it is the most developed city in the region. The University of Gaziantep was founded as a state university in 27 June 1987, but higher education on campus began as early as 1973 when the institute was an extention campus of the Middle East Technical University. The main campus is located at Gaziantep with its extention campuses situated in the neighbouring cities and districts of Adiyaman, Kilis, Nizip, Oguzeli, Besni and Gölbasi. The university was founded in 1919 on the basis of centuries of educational tradition, remaining the only Slovenian university for half a century. The University is based in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, a relatively large Central- European city with over 300.000 inhabitants. Students account for more than oneseventh of the population, giving the city a youthful and lively character. The university's central office and the majority of schools are situated in the centre of Ljubljana. Several newer and modern buildings of the University of Ljubljana are located on the city outskirts. The university is renowned for its quality study programmes. All of the study programmes from the 2007/2008 academic year are offered in accordance with the Bologna Declaration. TPU och BC 3 platser Kroatien: University of Zagreb The University of Zagreb (1669) is the oldest and biggest university in South-Eastern Europe. Ever since its foundation, the University has been continually growing and developing and now consists 29 faculties, three art academies and the Centre for Croatian Studies. With its comprehensive programmes and over 50,000 full-time undergraduate and postgraduate students the University is the strongest teaching institution in Croatia. It offers a wide range of academic degree courses leading to Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral degrees in the following fields: Arts, Biomedicine, Biotechnology, Engineering, Humanities, Natural and Social Sciences. it is also a strongly research-oriented institution, contributing with over 50 percent to the total research output of the country.
