It is now over a year since you joined Airtel Uganda, how have
you found the experience?
Well, it has been a rather fruitful journey with new key learnings
and new market. It has been a learning experience and meeting
new colleagues with multi-cultural diversities and talented group
of people. The customers are passionate about their telecom
brands and have been instrument in how we have shaped our go
to market strategies this past year. Through putting the customer
1st, we have achieved a lot in terms of growth as an Airtel Brand.

Airtel has made great strides in the mobile market with special
focus on Mobile Data, Airtel Money and Airtel Zone services.
In mobile data, we have added over 100 more 3G sites to boost the
internet coverage and capacity to ensure our esteemed customers
have a plus one experience in browsing and surfing our affordable
bundles. We also launched a new innovative campaign called
Tugabane where you can connect up to an additional 4 numbers to
browse and share data from one internet bundle.
We have beefed up our Airtel Money retail network to ensure
availability of the service and also launched a new Airtel Money
App, a 1st of its kind in the market that allows you to transact over
the internet as you would with the normal *185# menu.
We also launched our Airtel Zone service that allows you to
make calls with discounts ranging from 60% minimum up to
100% maximum for Airtel to Airtel calls. This allows you the most
affordable dynamic calling tariff.
If your wish was granted, what smart appliance would you
want for Christmas?
Well, that is quite interesting. I would want the new Apple Iphone 6S
