Please show your appreciation for their continued patronage of the BEDOUIN BAZAAR, and “Shop till you drop!” On the second floor, you will find the SWAPMEET area for those looking for previously owned costumes and other bargain items. This is also where the seminars are held. From 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM, DAVID OF SCANDINAVIA presents “Bollywood Combos.” Add an Indian flair to your dance, enhance your dance movements, and have fun with great Indian music. This three-hour seminar covers slinky and slow to sharp and fast. A very enjoyable seminar awaits the participants. Alexandra performs at 1:15 PM. THE BEDOUIN BAZAAR BAND performs from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM. The band features the phenomenal voice and ‘oud playing of John Bilezikjian. The percussion is provided by two thrilling artists, Dave Dhillon and Richard Steiger. See page 6 for John B‛s dance list. The only authorized video recording is by ARNIE LARNER PRODUCTIONS. Please be respectful to Arnie and Jeanie, and refrain from video recording. Dancers may purchase a copy of their performance at the front desk. This high quality product (DVD/file) is suitable for YouTube or sharing with friends and family. For your convenience, a dining table has been set up in the main room so you can still see the show while enjoying delicious food from our food vendor HARRY‛S CATERING (formerly EGYPTIAN TEA ROOM)—located outside the main entrance. Get a sense of how to build your expressions and also have fun with great Indian music and dance movements. David of Scandinavia is an internationally touring Middle Eastern and Indian dance artist, choreographer and dance coach. Norwegian by birth and East Indian by heritage, DaVid trained in Punjabi Folk dances and Middle Eastern dances. A performer since childhood, DaVid is known for his precise technique, delicacy in artistry and expressive finesse along with his refined musical sense. The workshop explains and teaches “The Balady” section of the cabaret between the Takism and the Drum Solo which is a buildup of tempo and dynamic energy. It is a slow-tofast progression of slinky and slow to sharp and fast isolations. Includes a little floor, a lot of standing work, and hot mixed combinations for both cabaret and tribal. Alexandra King is recognized as one of the foremost Middle Eastern Dance artists in the United States. She has received a number of awards for her work as a performer, choreographer and instructor and is known as the instructor to the stars.
