kids galore!
Now, what is that saying about little boys and
puppy dogs tails? Hmm... How does it go?
What are little boys made of?
“Slugs and snails, and puppy-dogs’ tails;
That’s what little boys are made of.”
What are little girls made of?
“Sugar and spice, and everything nice;
That’s what little girls are made of.”
Well this month it’s more like little boys are made of k-bots and
cute circus animals and little girls are made of babushka dolls!
Now while I don’t yet have any children; I do have a little
nephew – and boy is he cute! As a soon as I saw Kaisercraft’s
newest paper range ‘K-bots’ I knew it would be perfect for my
little boy layouts about him – the colours are bright, funky and
suit boys of any age! With coordinating colours in burnt orange,
charcoal grey, and patina blues – they’re even perfect for grungy
teenager layouts too!
If you have a child/children in your life, then this month is for
you! We’ve got adorable circus animals in bright, funky colours
that are perfect for baby boy projects and fun layouts for kids.
We’ve also got gorgeous babushka dolls and flowered patterns
in rich ruby reds, navy blue and pop colours in green and yellow
that are just great for girly layouts!

Every so often we will highlight a competition, kit or retailer that LOVES
Kaisercraft. This month we selected online store, Scrap Therapy (www.
scraptherapy.com.au/)
Scrap Therapy selected Kaisercraft as manufacturer of the month for December 2008 –
and then extended this to January 2009! Owner Lee-Anne explained, “Kaisercraft was a
logical choice, firstly because we love to be able to support an Australian based company,
but also because of the variety of products Kaisercraft offer the market.”

Lee-Anne also ran a five-part Kaisercraft competition over the Christmas/New Year period
to give her design team a break and to get members using new products and try out new
techniques. Lee-Anne said, “The highlight of every competition is to see the fabulous
projects the girls create, but the Kaisercraft projects really urged the girls to strive and I
was amazed at some of the incredible projects that were uploaded!”
The girls at Scrap Therapy also valued a Kaisercraft employee who joined the forum to
listen to their views about Kaisercraft. “We would love to take this opportunity to thank
Simon for sticking with us and tolerating us, entertaining us and really listening to what
everyone had to say.”

This month Jane Jones from our Design Team shows us how to create
simple girly themed embellishments to suit your layout. Cut fairies out of
patterned paper, add lace, bling and layer textured paper in sections– and
your layout is complete. Copy this sketch in-full or interpret as you wish
