welcome school holiday programme busy bumbles on facebook
WELCOME
Welcome back to term one at Busy Bumbles. It is
fantastic to have everyone join us again for
another exciting year of activities.
Our venues have been a hub of activity and fun
during the last few weeks. I have been receiving
such wonderful feedback from parents and staff
and it’s always a treat to visit the venues, talk to
the children and see the fun first hand!
It’s been a busy start to the year! Staff have
supplied me with ‘wish lists’ from the children for
new games and toys. After several days of
shopping the new supplies were taken to the
venues and greeted with cheers and excitement!
The following week I was delighted to receive
drawings, thank you notes and messages from
the children. I now have a lovely display next to
my desk which brings a smile every morning!
Thank you to you all for the pictures and crafts 
I would like to extend a warm welcome to our
new children. We look forward to welcoming you
and your families to the Busy Bumbles
community. Please don’t hesitate to contact any
of our staff if you ever have a query or simply just
wish to chat about how your child is doing. 

MEET THE STAFF
Vicky Siddall - Supervisor
Hi I’m Vicky and I started at Busy Bumbles in Rolleston in September 2013
moving to Springston in February 2014. I enjoy being at a smaller venue as we
can really get to know the children and coordinate our program with what’s
happening at school as well as how tired or excited the children are. 
I live in rural Springston with my family, dogs, horses, chickens and turkeys. I
have 3 children - all Springston students - the eldest being in her last year at
Lincoln High. It is amazing to watch the growth of the school yet it keeps it
unique country identity which is fantastic. Currently having 3 male teachers is
awesome and embracing new and traditional teaching styles makes
Springston the fantastic school it is.
I am an accredited Bible in Schools teacher and have been involved in youth
ministry in the district for several years.
In my spare time you will find me out riding, at a kung fu class or baking.
Dani Clarke – Assistant Supervisor
Hi, I’m Dani and I’ve been at Busy Bumbles for 2 years and it’s been great.
I started at our Rolleston venue before moving to Springston. I love our small
venue and it is a fantastic place to work.
I am currently in my last year at Canterbury University studying a Bachelor of
Learning (Primary).
I was born and bred in Rolleston and have recently moved to Springston, which
is super handy!
In my spare time I teach hip hop dancing for Selwyn School of Dance, and have
been doing this for the past 2 and a half years. I now have 7 classes that I teach
ages ranging from 5 years to 15 years. I also enjoy playing netball, indoor and
outdoor and socializing with friends and family.
Hi, I’m Nico. I’m 17 years old and live in Tai Tapu.
I’ve been at Busy Bumbles for 18 months now and it’s been great. I started at
Lincoln, and have since worked out at Rolleston and Templeton, as well as
spending more and more time at Springston. It’s a job with a lot of good variety,
and it’s always fantastic to hear that the kids we’ve supervised have enjoyed
their day with us.
I’ve recently finished at Lincoln High School and am looking at furthering my
education at the University of Canterbury, with a bit of luck, next year.
In my spare time I play guitar, socialise, play computer games or drive around
Christchurch on my moped (it’s very economical!)
Here’s wishing for a fun and exciting 2015! 
Hi I’m Tash and I have worked at Busy Bumbles for just under a year, mainly
at Rolleston. I’m 22 years old and I am in my last semester of a Sport and
Recreation Management degree at Lincoln University.
I was born in Tauranga but have lived in Canterbury since I was 5 including 9
years in Leeston and the remainder in Christchurch.
In my free time you will find me on one of Christchurch’s walking tracks, my
favourite being Godley Head via Taylors Mistake, with friends or studying.
