The event
‘Dine with Davina’ is a spectacular SELL OUT women-only event
that attracts 400 ladies to a prestigious Southampton venue for a
fabulous dinner hosted by non-other than the nation’s favourite
Davina McCall. Last year this event raised an incredible £40,000 for
Action Medical Research.
Davina McCall is one of the UK’s most loved television celebrities and this is your chance to partner
your brand with one of the most high profile events on the South Coast. Last year we partnered with
BDO, Thomas Miller Investment and our media partner, Southern Daily Echo.
This year will be the 10th Anniversary of the ‘Dine with Davina’ event. The combination of a high calibre
captive audience at this stylish function, with celebrity endorsement, and the amazing work of Action
Medical Research are all the ingredients required for an exciting positive marketing and hospitality

Why do we need medical research for
babies and children in the UK?
Despite all the achievements of medicine, there remains a clear and
urgent need for research to help babies and children. Research is the key
to saving many children from a lifetime of suffering. We want to make a
difference in:
• tackling premature birth and treating sick and vulnerable babies
• helping children affected by disability, disabling conditions and infections
• targeting rare diseases that together severely affect many forgotten children.
Action Medical Research has played a significant role in many medical breakthroughs for over 60 years,
including; development of the first UK polio vaccine, testing the early rubella vaccine which became
part of the MMR vaccine, developing ground-breaking cooling therapy for newborns to help prevent
brain injury, and creating the Glasgow Coma Scale that revolutionized head injury assessment
worldwide.

‘Money can’t buy’ experiences have been very successful in our live auction hosted by ‘Cash In the Attic’
star John Cameron. Last year’s lots included a fabulous spa and afternoon tea experience, Tony Hadley
tickets, a weeks stay in a luxury Italian apartment and a days cookery course.
We also have a star prize raffle; for just £20 these lucky ladies can win some incredible items kindly
donated by our corporate supporters.
