Glove hair! Secrets of La Dama in the lobby
Reporting by Anna Yoder
Many campers have commented on the lovely locks of
the lady in the lobby. They want to know: How does she
do it? How does she manage to keep her hair impeccably styled, day in and day out, amidst the hustle and
bustle of campers dancing to the tune of “Tideo, Tideo!”
(sounds like tidy-oh)?
Anna Yoder, intrepid Record reporter, decided to ask
La Dama herself. It was a difficult interview because
La Dama was having trouble opening her mouth. Still,
Anna got on a wave length with her. Here is what she
found out:
La Dama loves her glove hair. In fact, she only sees two
disadvantages: “It gets really hot in the summer, and
when it’s windy, your glove hair might blow off. Then
you’re bald.”
On the other hand (heh-heh-heh), glove hair never gets
frizzy or greasy, and dandruff is not a problem. If something does happen to make your hair dirty, you can toss
it in the washing machine.
Also, you can buy new glove hair at Wal-Mart or Dollar
Tree, in all the bright colors you want. You never need a
comb, and, if you’re tired of how your glove hair looks,
you can tie it in knots!

Matthew Macerol: “You win.”
Clammy: “I heard a camper say
‘clamoflage.’ I’m pretty sure the
camper meant ‘camouflage,’ but
personally,
I like
‘clamoflage’
better!”
