Reminders: •NO SCHOOL Friday & Monday. •All tuition through September must be paid in order for students to receive their report cards on 10/22. •Only crew neck sweatshirts may be worn in the classrooms. Hoodies may be worn to & from school and at recess. •Option C has partnered with a new company for our broadcast system. If you have any problems receiving texts or emails, please call the office. •Terri Lynn Nut Sales continue through Oct. 20th. Magazine sales through Oct. 15th. •SPIRIT Day brought in $326.50! We also received a check for Box Tops for $585.35 and Ink Cartridges for $86.10. Thank you for your support! •There will be a Children’s Choir Sat., Oct. 18th @ 5:15 Mass. If you can participate, please tell Mrs. Corrigan. •Home Wishes in Pontiac will donate 10% of candle sales during the month of November to St. Mary’s School. Thank you to parishioner Karen Schulz! CRAZY DAYS St. Mary’s Student Council will be holding their th first Crazy Day next Thurs., Oct. 16 . The day is called “Sweat It Day” and students may wear sweats and sweatshirts. NO JEANS, YOGA PANTS, OR SHORTS allowed. There is no cost and Student Council would like to see everyone participate. If you prefer not to participate, you must wear your school uniform. This is a fun activity for all, including faculty and staff. Thank you for your support. MUSIC NEWS FROM MRS. CORRIGAN We want to wish good luck to Mark Corrigan and Derek Diaz as they will be auditioning on th Mon., Oct. 13 , for the IMEA All-District Band. They will travel to Bloomington Junior High School and play a scale sheet and an etude for a judge. They will find out their results later next week. If they make the band, they will then nd attend a festival on Sat., Nov. 22 at ISU. Good luck to both Mark and Derek. VETERANS’ DAY We will have a Veterans’ Day Assembly on Mon., th Nov. 10 @ 2:00. If someone in your family served in the armed forces, please send a note to school with their name and branch of service so that we may honor them. Thank you. Please let your children know so they are aware and respectful at all times. * Remember all SMS students are FREE, but only students in grades 5-8 are allowed at games without adult supervision. Last night several younger siblings were asked to quit running and to stay out of the Kindergarten hallway. We all understand this is not easy, but need the kids to stay in the gym ( especially the little ones). Thank you for cooperating and keeping everyone safe too. * Our Fall Sports Banquet is Tuesday, October 14th @5:30 in the Parish Hall. All Softball, Baseball, Golf and Cross Country athletes and their families are invited.
