Meeting with a meteorite
Come and discover the St. Lawrence’s marine
mammals in a more intimate manner on board a
48-passenger zodiac. The AML family has acquired
this boat which used to belong to Croisières Dufour.
This added feature complements a diversified
excursion offer: cruises for lengths of 2 hours to
3 days on a large boat or 2 to 3 hour cruises in a
24-passenger zodiac.
Did you say tomato? Only the Domaine de la Vallée
du Bras, one of the twenty producers of Charlevoix’s
Flavour Trail, will make you discover another aspect
of this fruit. 2015 welcomes the third offspring
from the Omerto family. It is a new aperitif medium
dry tomato wine, aged for nine months in casks
made of acacia tree wood. This vintage shares the
biological certification and the 16% alcohol content
of its predecessors, the Sec (Dry) and the Moelleux
(Mellow). Try it with wild mushrooms or else a
fullbodied cheese.
The Fairmont Manoir Richelieu, the Casino de
Charlevoix and the Canadian Space Agency have
partnered with the Astroblème de Charlevoix
Observatory to offer you an “astronomical” experience
while sojourning in the region. A fascinating exhibition
with a three-dimensional interactive model and
several geological elements will help the visitor to
better understand the meteorite impact that shaped
Charlevoix’s landscapes. When the sky is clear take
advantage of the powerful telescope to observe the
stars.

Musée d’art Contemporain de Baie-Saint-Paul Musée de Charlevoix
From Molinari to Bruno Côté - In 2015, the Musée d’art contemporain de Baie-SaintPaul will first showcase a panorama of Guido Molinari’s body of work, an artist of
Québec modernity. 2015 being also the year of Québec artcrafts, the Museum opens
its doors to the major exhibition Ateliers croisés – Claude Vermette and Mariette
Rousseau-Vermette. In August, the 33rd International Symposium of contemporary
art will invite 12 artists to do a live creation based on the theme “Murmures du
quotidien” (“Day to day whisperings”). Last but not least, an important Charlevoix
artist, Bruno Côté, will be showcased in the fall.

A new exhibition “Nos Trésors, vos Histoires” (“Our Treasures, your Stories”)
will be featured from May 10, 2015 to March 27, 2016. Inspired by the Musée
de Charlevoix’s treasures, key figures from Charlevoix and Québec reveal
themselves. You will discover the region’s history, small and grand, and
Charlevoix’s heritage and wealth. You will also see the permanent exhibition,
“Charlevoix raconté” (“Charlevoix narrated”) and the creative studio, all in a
fabulous and familiar museum!
