Come out and help us make a difference. Did you know that the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup is also part of an international effort? Each September, hundreds of thousands of volunteers from around the world participate during the International Coastal Cleanup, coordinated by the Ocean Conservancy. More information on events is available on the Burlington Events Calendar at www.burlington.ca During the cleanup, volunteers record information about the waste that is picked up. In 2003, over 150,000 cigarette butts were picked up across Canada. Notice of CANCELLATION of Public Meeting Come lend a hand on September 18th. Gloves and bags will be provided. The Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup is supported nationally by the TD Friends of the Environment Foundation and was started by the Vancouver Aquarium 14 years ago. The large crowds, noise, heat and excitement at major special events are not an ideal environment for your pets. Cyclists and Pedestrians The waterfront promenade at Spencer Smith Park will be a heavily travelled area during the Ribfest. Cyclists, please dismount and walk your bikes along the promenade during the event. P PARKING Parking regulations will be in effect. Please consider Burlington Transit as a great way to visit the Ribfest.
