Untitled - Pages of Paul
Biographies Pages of Paul Based at the Northern end of the Susquehanna River and in and around the surrounding area of Lewisburg, PA, Pages of Paul, plays crisp original pop songs with overtones of country and rock. The band's five members are lifelong seasoned musicians with a combined experience that spans more than 100 years including world-wide tours and Grammy nominations. Seizing upon experience and the wisdom of age, Pages of Paul has performed original music from its debut CD throughout 2012 and begun making a name for themselves outside the immediate area. Their debut CD "This Time" is a collection of 12 originals penned by guitarist Paul Curcuruto. As pedal steel and slide guitarist Mark Tomeo, a veteran of the 1980's rock scene via his former band "Rubber Rodeo" states, "There’s an abundance of combined experience in Pages of Paul which yielded an unspoken shared direction and goal for all of us. If it was 1970, I’d say we were a country rock band. At the same time we have an incredibly fresh take on everything and it shows in all of our work.” Paul Curcuruto 6 & 12-string guitars, vocals, songwriter Writing songs and playing in original bands since he was 16 years old, Paul Curcuruto blends power pop, rock and blues with a touch of country. He held the lead guitar chair for Pennsylvanians Earl Pickins & the Band Named Thunder, Sweetbriars (Kelly & Derr) and long-time Providence, RI, rockers The Marlowes. Rick Buck Bass, vocals A player since age 8, Rick Buck handled bass, drums and some stinging guitar work on the Pages of Paul CD. He’s gigged with Johnny Rodriguez, The Statler Brothers, David Frizzell, and his band Country Legend has served as the road band touring worldwide for Nashville artists Tommy Cash and Johnny Counterfit for well over a decade. Karen Nogle Vocals A contralto in a world of Appalachian sounding soprano singers, Karen Nogle has been singing since she could hold the proverbial hairbrush. A talent contest led to a singing career and two solo CDs, "Stuff That Matters" and "No Stranger to Heartache." The Pages of Paul songbook was developed exclusively for her style and range. Mark Tomeo Pedal steel, dobro & slide guitars, vocals Mark Tomeo learned his craft in Nashville and points west, recorded and toured with 80s bands Rubber Rodeo (Grammy nominated in 1985), the dBs and the Gun Club. He later recorded and performed with ex Monkee Davy Jones as well as Pennsylvanians The Badlees, Darcie Miner, Van Wagner and Neon Cactus. Scott Ebright Drums Scott Ebright has occupied the drum throne in the aforementioned Country Legend band, touring world wide in support of Nashville artists Tommy Cash and Johnny Counterfit among others. In his perfect world he’d be slamming skins for Whitesnake, but Pages of Paul appears to be working out just fine for him.
