Lee’s Summit Chamber Oktoberfest Juried Arts & Crafts Fair September 26, 2014 5–11 p.m. & September 27, 2014 10 a.m.–11 p.m. 2014 In Historic Downtown Lee’s Summit The annual Lee’s Summit Oktoberfest, sponsored by the Lee’s Summit Chamber of Commerce, and presented by Pinnacle Bank, is September 26 and 27, 2014. Oktoberfest is a family friendly event that offers a variety of entertainment for all ages. Vendors interested in participating in this year’s festival please review and complete the included application. All booths are strictly limited to handmade arts and crafts. We want shoppers to shop and take home unique handcrafted goods from Oktoberfest. Buy/sell products are not allowed. Items that are not produced by the exhibiting vendor will not be accepted. The committee will work to maintain a balance between the different art and craft mediums. Jury committee members will be circulating randomly during the show to insure that all work shown is meeting the festival’s requirements. Demonstrations of work in progress are encouraged. No food items may be sold in an arts and crafts space. Please complete the entry form on the attached page and submit it, along with payment and five photographs, which clearly represents the quality and range of work to be exhibited and sold. MARK each with your name and the medium. Please include a self-addressed stamped ($.96) envelope if you would like your photos returned. There are a limited number of booths that will be sold on a first-come, first serve basis. Applications will be judged weekly and you will be notified immediately. Your check will not be deposited until you have been accepted; if you are not accepted, your check will be returned. Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing. Requests received before August 29, are eligible for a 50% discount. There are no refunds for cancellation requests received after August 29. Exhibitors agree that since this is an outdoor show, there will be no refunds due to inclement weather. Spaces are 10 x 12. Exhibitors may not extend past their designated space. Exhibitors may bring their own tent or may rent a tent through the festival for a fee. Electricity is provided at 100 watts per space. It is suggested all exhibitors bring their own 100 ft., 14 gauge extension cord. If you wish to have lighting, you must bring your own lights. Each exhibitor is responsible for the exhibiting, supervising and selling of his/her work. No overnight storage facility is available. The festival is not responsible for any damage, theft, fire, loss or injury of any nature to exhibitor, employees, goods, property, or any loss to third parties due to exhibitors’ acts or omissions, or any type of act of nature. Please be prepared for inclement weather. Exhibitors will be required to man their booths during festival hours. All proceeds from work sold goes directly to the artist/ crafter. There is no commission charged to exhibitors. Exhibitors are responsible for handling their own tax payments/records. Tax information will be provided with acceptance information. Your booth must be manned the entire hours/days of the festival. Hours you will remain open for the festival are: 5 p.m.–11 p.m., Friday, September 26 and 10 a.m.–11 p.m., Saturday, September 27. Exhibitors agree to present a quality display and products. All sales will be transacted by you and proceeds will go to you. Booths must be completely set up, with all vehicles removed from the display streets, by 3 p.m. on Friday, September 26. No booths may be removed before the advertised closing time of 11 p.m., Friday and Saturday of the festival. Exhibitors must provide their own tents or rent from the Chamber as well as provide their own tables, chairs, display screens, etc., and all must be contained inside your assigned space. All tents must have weighted tie-downs. This prevents tents from blowing over and injuring vendors and/or guests. The Lee’s Summit Chamber and Oktoberfest Committee reserves the right to accept or reject any application and does not guarantee proximity to or away from competing vendors. Violation of any of the above rules and regulations could result in immediate eviction, without further notice, from your occupied booth space by the Oktoberfest Committee. No refunds will be given to any evicted vendor, and you will not be allowed to participate in future festivals. I understand the guidelines for exhibiting and agree all work displayed meets the outlined criteria.The Lee’s Summit Chamber of Commerce is released from all responsibility from damage, theft or loss incurred while participating in the fair.
