Right size
• Maximum two cubic metres of hard waste will be
collected – more than this will be considered illegal
dumping
Neat and tidy
• Waste must be placed in two neat stacks
• Stacks will be collected by different trucks
• Allow clear access: leave two metres between your
hard waste and your garbage/recycling bins
On time
• Place items no later than 6am on your collection day
• If you choose to have your items collected from your
nature strip, place out no earlier than Saturday two
days before your collection day, or you risk being fined
for illegal dumping
Sticker
Please ensure material is out for collection
by 6am on your collection day. If not out in
time, a return visit will not be made.
• Place your orange 'booked' sticker in a prominent
position so it is clearly visible from the road
Total material should be no more than

• If you have chosen to have items collected from the nature strip,
place out no earlier than two days prior to your collection day
• If you have chosen to have items collected from inside your front
yard, please place close to the property boundary for easy access

Hard waste
Hard waste ends up in landfill, so please recycle as much
as you can before deciding to place it out for collection.
• Household furniture, clothing
• Small electrical items:
kettles, hair dryer, corded power tools
• Carpet rolls up to 1.5 metres long
• Mirrors, glass and crockery:
securely wrapped in cardboard and marked ‘fragile’
• Timber up to 1.5 metres long, 12 pieces maximum
Scrap metal and whitegoods*
• Scrap metal, corrugated iron,
empty tins (remove lids), bicycles
• Whitegoods including washing machines and dryers
• Lawn mowers, tools, small car parts (no engine blocks)
• Hot water systems, baths
• DVD players, stereos, VCRs, games consoles
Green waste*
• Tree cuttings tied into bundles with string, not rope,
wire or plastic
• Branches up to 15 cm in diameter, no tree stumps
weighing more than 30 kg
• Bundles should be no longer than 1.5 metres and one
person must be able to lift to shoulder height
