Visit African Hall to watch the birds dip and dive as a biologist hands
out vitamin-stuffed herring and capelin fish. Questions are encouraged!
Coral Reef Dive

Watch as a diver plunges into the world’s deepest indoor living coral reef
exhibit to answer your reef-related questions.

Swamp Discovery

Gather beneath the moss-draped limbs of a bald cypress to explore
the life of the American alligator, from tiny hatchling to adult.

Aquarium (Lower Level)

seen invertebrates and
learn about the cuttingedge dive technology
scientists use to explore
these deep and mysterious
coral reefs.
This map is reusable. Help the Academy
conserve resources — return your map to
any of the information kiosks throughout
the building so that another visitor can
use it. Printed on 100% post-consumer
recycled paper.

warnings against photography at
selected exhibits. This helps to maintain
the health of the animals.
Due to capacity restrictions, not all
exhibits may be accessible during your
visit. We apologize for any inconvenience.
All restrooms, water fountains, and
exhibit areas in the California Academy
of Sciences are wheelchair accessible,
and attendants are available to arrange
wheelchair access to the Planetarium.
