WHO WE ARE
Run for Westside Shepherds is a group of athletes and volunteers who
participate in the LA Marathon and raise funds for Westside German
Shepherd Rescue of Los Angeles, a marathon Charity Partner. Last year,
our team consisted of 72 runners and walkers who — along with our
sponsors — raised more than $63,000.

In addition to helping save the lives of loyal, affectionate, and intelligent
dogs deserving a second chance at life, sponsors get:
• Exposure at the 2016 LA Marathon (which will be televised for the first
time as they are hosting the Olympic trials). “Team Westside” will have
runners participating in the full marathon, the relay and the Big 5K
events over 2 days, February 13 and 14, 2016.
• Good PR through our network of social media followers (a 1 Million post
reach / 400,000+ post clicks / 24,000+ shares / average 5,000 new
likes weekly)— we post sponsor logos along with encouragement to our
group to support them.
• Prime placement on Team Westside website, race day t-shirts &
