SunSTONE Apartment Homes to Anchor Fox Ridge Plaza Development Wichita, KS - SunSTONE Apartment Homes at Fox Ridge Plaza is ready to break ground to anchor the new Fox Ridge Plaza commercial development near the southeast corner of Maize Road and North 37th Street in northwest Wichita. The announcement was made by Marv Schellenberg, with Tier 1 (a partnership between Schellenberg Development Company and Birds Eye Holdings) and Paul Jackson, President of Vantage Point Properties. The first apartments will be ready for occupancy in early 2016. “We are very pleased to have the upscale gated community as part of the Fox Ridge Plaza Development. Paul’s attention to detail and quality fits well with our philosophy of the Development,” says Schellenberg. Fox Ridge Plaza consists of six pad sites, a six acre lake and 14 acres for the SunSTONE Apartments. “We will be blending in the same landscape theme of Kansas native grasses and wild flowers that we did in the Fox Ridge Residential Development making it a great bookend to the Fox Ridge Development,” says Schellenberg. SunSTONE Apartment Homes at Fox Ridge is Vantage Point’s second SunSTONE project. SunSTONE Apartment Homes at Andover Marketplace opened in Andover in February, 2014. This second project will be similar in design to the Andover complex and will consist of 228 apartments. It will be located in the growing North Maize Road corridor, adjacent to the Maize South School campus. Construction is scheduled to begin immediately. The project will offer 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom units featuring open, spacious floor plans, granite counter tops, washers and dryers, vaulted ceilings, and a full service clubhouse with fitness facilities, and a saltwater swimming pool. Pets are also welcome. Shared corridors and shared stairs are all but eliminated throughout the project to create a better sense of privacy for residents. The location was selected for its easy access to the Maize South School campus and its proximity to the many grocery options, restaurants, and shops along Maize Road. “We love this location. The visibility, access, and quality of the school system will make this a great place to live,” says Jackson. Conco will be the general contractor for the project, Krehbiel Architecture is the project architect, and Baughman Company is the project engineer. “At SunSTONE, we offer competitive market rents and deliver high quality finishes and amenities – like a car wash – that people get excited about,” says Jackson. “It’s been very well received in Andover, so we are excited to bring it to northwest Wichita.” Schellenberg Development Company was founded in 1989.
