Who Is Meridian Manufacturing Group?
Meridian Manufacturing Group is proud to be the innovator of the allwelded, smooth-wall hopper bin. We are known for our bins with the
FRIESEN, GRAIN MAX and WHEATLAND labels. Meridian is the
largest smooth-wall manufacturer with offices and manufacturing facilities in Camrose Alberta, Lethbridge Alberta, Winkler Manitoba and
Storm Lake Iowa.
Meridian started in 1965 with the first hopper bin design and over the
years we have launched many innovations and design changes, each
advancing and improving the hopper bin experience. Advancements
include leg ring designs, slide gates, steel foundations, safety features,
aeration and powder coating to mention a few. With a completely prebuilt and painted bin, Meridian designed custom trailers which allows
delivery to virtually any farm or commercial operation across North
America.
In 1990, the Meridian Built Friesen Bulk Seed Tender was introduced to
the agricultural market. Our product line now includes twelve different
tender models to accommodate any farming geographical region of
North America. The needs of the farmer have been met with great success through the use of two different conveying methods: polycup flyting,
and the incline cleated belt conveyor. Five models in our line of Seed
Express tenders all utilize the cleated belt conveyors allowing greater
transfer volume of seed at a slower speed, reducing any chance of damage to the seed. Our Seed Express BWT models are designed for seed
retailers and farmers looking for a multi seasonal scaling system, weigh
wagon. The Seed Titan series tenders are designed to accommodate
either two or four bulk seed boxes; two models with polycup augers and
two models using the cleated belt conveyor. The Titan seed tenders are
equipped with the patented lock and go system. All Meridian build Bulk
Seed Tenders come standard with a highly durable baked powder coat
finish.

All of our steel components and materials are designed and selected utilizing our suppliers latest
technology to ensure the best quality bulk seed tender for each application. All sheeting is carefully selected for various qualities including strength and cleanliness. Our steel storage standards help
us meet the Meridian Built standard.

changes include design for various seed products, larger volume through-out,
increased holding capacities, and an effective paint adhesion process for the
tenders and the trailers they are mounted on.

Coating

The quality of Meridian’s powder is visibly noticeable, but other characteristics make powder
coating the preferred paint finish. Standard liquid paints oxidize, crack, peal, are not as slippery for cleaning out, and generally do not stand up to corrosive or adverse environments like
high quality powder coating.

How to Choose your Tender
Workmanship
Premium powder coating is achieved by Meridian’s choice as the industry leader to continually invest and improve. The steps and procedures we implement throughout our entire production process helps ensure our Premium Coating. Our steel selection, equipment and welding
procedures, virtually eliminate all dirt and splatter. The entire surface area, including seams
are carefully pre-cleaned in preparation for Meridian’s exclusive powder coat. After powdering, the tender is baked to over 320 degrees, resulting in an extremely durable corrosion and
abrasion resistant finish. These procedures and our Premium Powder Coat finish allow
Meridian to set yet another high industry standard.
Other Meridian product innovations include the Air Shuttle aeration system, double-wall fuel tanks and specialty oil tanks, serving both the agriculture and petroleum industries.

Meridian’s service starts before you purchase a bulk seed tender by
helping you select the unit with options and accessories to best suit
your farming operation. Meridian’s sales team in addition to our
dealer network is available to help with those decisions. Once
you’ve made your purchase and the bulk seed tender is built, the
dealer you purchased through will make arrangements for factory
pickup or to be delivered by our shipping department. The Meridian
shipping department will carefully load your tender onto one of our
trailers for delivery to your yard. Team work from our design, sales
and production staff helps Meridian set the standard for product and
service excellence.

The 110 BST is built for the farmer who farms up to 500 acres and for retailer rental use. The
110 BST has a compact design and can easily be loaded into a truck box if you choose not to
purchase the T6000ST trailer. This unit works great for handling commodities like corn, beans,
wheat and oats.
The 220 BST is built for the farmer who farms up to 750 acres. This unit is equipped with two
compartments, holding enough seed to keep you in field most of the day. This model works
great as a tender for planters with individual boxes. You can fill your boxes seamlessly by using
the control located at the end of the spout. The 220 BST works great for handling commodities
like corn, beans, wheat and oats.
The Seed Titan 2 is for the farmer who purchases seed in bulk boxes. Designed to hold two
bulk seed boxes, this tender functions well for filling individual seed boxes. Our patented onestep loading design can have your tender securely loaded and down the road in no time. The
Seed Titan 2 works great for handling commodities like corn, beans, wheat and oats.
The Seed Titan 2 SE is designed for the farmer who purchases seed in bulk boxes. It is designed to

The Seed Express 600RT Bulk Seed Tender has been designed for farmers planting small
grains with air seeders, who utilize and incorporate fertilizer with seed at planting time.
However, the 600RT can also be utilized for farming operations that use three varieties of seed
in larger quantities. The open top design of the 600RT allows for easy filling of the three compartments. The radio control remote provides quick and easy access from your planter, opening and closing the desired compartment, controlling the conveyor functions, and displaying on
a light panel which compartment is open. This unit is designed to reduce your physical work
load, helping you to work smarter and more efficiently, saving you time and money during planting season.
The Meridian built Friesen Trailers are designed for proper balance and support of our Bulk Seed
Tender line. Each trailer unit is constructed of tubular steel, receiving a powder coat finish that is
extremely durable, corrosion and abrasion resistant. All trailers are equipped with a 2 5/16" coupler
hitch, safety chain and battery breakaway. For added safety, each trailer is equipped with an electrical wiring harness that controls the brakes, running, stop and turning lights.
