The Fiesta Dress (A Quinceanera Tale)
By Caren McNelly McCormack
Illustrated by Martha Avilés
Lolo is used to being noticed since she is the baby of the family. But on the day of her big sister’s
quinceanera, she is feeling invisible. Everyone is preparing for the big party and doesn’t have time to
play with Lolo. To make matters worse, when she lets her dog, Gobi, out to play with her, it is almost a
disaster! Read how Lolo uses her fast feet and fast thinking to save Eva’s big day. Whether you are a
little girl looking forward to your own quinceanera someday or are curious about the custom, you can learn a lot from The
Fiesta Dress.
