The Town
of Sullivan
recently lost its
beloved Highway
Superintendent,
Elwin ‘Sonny’
Centner.
Most of you will
either know him or
know of him; Sonny
had this community
close to his heart
and mind on a daily
basis 24/7.
In this day and
age where politics
is played out in the
news, which is more
akin to a reality
show, Sonny was
not of this era.
The loss leaves
a huge hole in this
community, as the
likes of this man are
not found in our
world today. He
will be missed, I still
think he’s going to
walk through my
door every day.
I will keep him
in my heart, think
of him daily and
wish his wife well
in her healing, as we
all move on, never
forgetting we were
touched by such a
gentle person.
Heavy Heart,
Beth Ellis
