General Information
Beach Concessions & Rentals
GENERAL RULES
Everything you need for a day at the beach—right at your fingertips!
•No smoking, alcohol, glass containers or dogs are allowed on the
beach, pier, or Pier Plaza.
•Dogs are only allowed at Dog Beach and on the paved beach path.
•Fire rings are free to the public on a first-come, first-serve basis and
are located along the City Beach from Beach Blvd. to 1st St., as well
as along the entire State Beach.
•Barbeques allowed within 6 feet of fire rings only. Coals must be
dumped in fire pit.
•No fishing license required to fish from pier.
•Filming and photography are allowed for personal use only. Permits are required for all other filming and photography.

• Ask a lifeguard for advice on hazards
• Alcohol and swimming don’t mix
• Shuffle your feet in shallow water to avoid stingrays
• Extend a hand in front of you when swimming in shallow water
• Stay calm in rip currents, swim parallel to the shore if caught in one
• Use appropriate sun protection
• Follow posted signs on beach and in parking areas
• Dogs on a leash are allowed on the paved beach path
(but not on the beach except at Dog Beach).
• Drive slowly in the parking lot and watch for pedestrians and bikes
• Watch for cross traffic on the service road
• Be courteous and aware of other people
• Keep the beach clean and dispose of litter
• Don’t leave valuables in your vehicle
