This life-long commitment has led to a rich and varied career. Founder, artistic and JUNE GOLDSMITH executive director of the popular daytime concert series Music in the Morning, she currently is a music lecturer and radio broadcaster. As a broadcaster, June regularly appears with host Sheryl MacKay on the CBC Radio One program North by Northwest. One of her CBC fans emailed: “I would walk for a mile, uphill, in the snow, barefoot, to hear June Goldsmith talk about music.” Known for her youthful vibrancy and dynamic versatility with musical genres and styles, Mélanie Léonard is increasingly sought after as a guest conductor. She served as Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra’s Resident Conductor from 2009 to 2012 and as Associate Conductor for the 20122013 season.
