appeal, as exemplified by the new Jetta. Elegant
and exciting, the enhanced front design features
a revised front bumper with three chrome trimmed
louvres, contoured headlights with daytime running
lights and a re-profiled bumper. On Comfortline
models, integrated fog lights flow seamlessly into
the bumper creating a dynamic presence. Sleeker
than ever before, the updated styling delivers a 10%
improvement in aerodynamics over the previous model.

or erratic steering movements, it recommends taking

07 The Park Distance Control (PDC) comprises of
parking sensors, front and rear, and reverse kerb-view
adjustment on the passenger’s side exterior door mirror
with memory function. The parking sensors assist with
parking manoeuvres by emitting both audible and
visual warnings, alerting the driver to any obstacles
in the way: the closer you are to an obstacle the faster
the sound frequency. An additional parking display
indicates your position on the display of the vehicle’s
audio system. Standard on Highline models. Optional
on Trendline and Comfortline models.

09 The rear-view camera ‘Rear Assist’* helps you
reverse park by giving you a clear view to the rear of
your vehicle via the display of your radio/navigation
system, featuring auxiliary lines to help you park and
enabling you to recognise even small obstacles such

10 Bi-xenon headlights including LED daytime
running lights combine dipped and main beams
in one integrated unit that flows seamlessly into
the bodywork and radiator grille. They also feature
static cornering function and dynamic headlight
range adjustment that compensate for any change
in the incline of the body, due to loading, braking
or accelerating. Furthermore, headlight washers
help keep them clean in all conditions to ensure
your vehicle is visible in any weather. Optional on

No question about it, the world is moving faster,
life is more pressured and it’s hard to stay in
control. Unless you’re sitting in the new Jetta. Here,
everything is exactly where you would expect it
to be, ergonomically arranged and intuitively to
hand, providing a stress-free haven of tranquillity
and order. The large high definition screen of
the multifunction colour display ‘Plus’ provides
important driving information, such as current or
average fuel consumption and the status of your
connected mobile phone.

The Jetta Comfortline.
The new Jetta Trendline offers a unique design, impressive quality and superb value for money. The list of standard equipment includes Climatic manual air
conditioning, an RCD 310 radio with MP3 player including CD-player, 8 speakers and mobile device Interface AUX-in, electric front and rear windows, remote
unlocking for the luggage compartment and fuel filler flap and central locking with 2 remote control folding keys. Further comfort is assured with electromechanical speed-sensitive power steering, three-spoke leather steering wheel, height and reach adjustable steering column, front seats with height
adjustment and durable ‘Cardeol’ cloth upholstery complemented by ‘Checker Plate Titanium’ decorative inserts for dashboard and door trim panel. On the
exterior the high specification continues and halogen clear headlights with separate daytime running lights as standard. There are also body-coloured bumpers,
door handles and door mirrors with integrated indicators which are electrically heated and adjustable. The look is completed with a black radiator grille and 16 inch
steel wheels with contemporary styled wheel covers. Safety in the new Jetta is also paramount and this is highlighted with the inclusion, as standard, of ESC
(Electronic Stability Control) including ABS with brake assistant, driver’s and front passenger’s airbags with front passenger’s airbag deactivation switch, curtain
airbag system for front and rear passengers including front side airbags and safety-optimised, anti-whiplash front headrests. All new Jettas are also fitted with an
electronic engine immobiliser, visual and audible warning for front seat belts if not fastened, brake pad wear indicator and hill hold control function as standard.

6½J x 16" steel wheels with 205/55 R16 tyres
and full size wheel trims give the Trendline an
exclusive look.
The Electronic Stabilisation Programme (ESP) recognises critical driving
situations and reacts in milliseconds by targeting brake and management systems,
controlling the speed of individual wheels and helping to bring the vehicle under
control. As a result the vehicle achieves maximum directional stability.

The five and six speed manual gearboxes available
for the Trendline transmit power with short, accurate
shifts and very smooth handling, making it easy to
drive at the right engine speed.
The distinctive redesigned boot lid incorporates an
aerodynamically efficient lip which sits above the
new rear light clusters and the revised bumper.
Subtle trim elements in the Comfortline provide a touch of elegance and flair with that extra bit of comfort and luxury. With the leather trimmed three-spoke
multifunction steering wheel with aluminium decorative inserts providing controls for the RCD 310 radio MP3 player, Bluetooth connectivity for your mobile phone
and multifunction display ‘Plus’ as well as cruise control, you can be assured you will arrive at your destination calm and relaxed after every journey. Building over
the already well equipped new Trendline, the exterior look of the new Jetta Comfortline is enhanced by the addition of 16 inch ‘Navarra’ alloy wheels and anti-theft
wheel bolts, front fog lights with fixed bending light and black radiator grille with chrome mouldings on the fins. While inside, front comfort seats with ‘Sienna’ cloth
upholstery including height and lumbar adjustment, ‘Zebrano’ decorative inserts for the dashboard and door trim panel, front centre armrest with storage
compartment with two rear air vents, together with a rear centre armrest give both the driver and passengers added comfort. However, the long list of standard
equipment doesn’t end there. Choose the new Jetta Comfortline and you will also get load-through provision and a 60:40 split folding rear seat backrest, ideal
for transporting long items, storage compartment in the roof console and front seat back storage pockets.

The Jetta Highline.
An exceptionally high degree of driving comfort combined with impressive power and agility ensures the
new Jetta Highline deliver pure driving fun, whichever engine specification you choose. It looks particularly
sporty with 17 inch ‘Porto’ alloy wheels complete with sports suspension, decorative chrome strips on the
bottom of the side windows, 65% light absorbing rear and rear side windows and electrically folding
door mirrors with environmental lighting and kerb-view adjustment. Inside the new Jetta Highline, the
vibrant ‘Gloss’ seat upholstery and carpet mats front and rear provide a touch of luxury. Front sports
comfort seats with height and lumbar adjustment are fitted as standard and offer the driver and front
seat passenger optimum lateral support at all times. The sports look is completed inside with ‘Checker Plate
Black’ with chrome decorative inserts in the dash and centre console. To make every journey just that
little bit easier and safer, the headlight washer system, Park Distance Control (PDC), rain sensor and
auto dimming interior mirror are all fitted as standard. Finally, automatic headlight activation with
separate daytime running lights, ‘leaving home’ and manual ‘coming home’ function light your entry
and exit from and to your Jetta in diminished light.

Technical specification notes
01) Figures are calculated in accordance with manufacturer’s criteria. The individual unladen weight
depends on the specification of the vehicle, this then reduces the possible payload accordingly.
The unladen weight and payload both include the fuel tank 90% full, driver (68kg) and luggage
(7kg) in line with EU directive 95/48.
02) With increasing altitude the engine performance diminishes. From 1,000m above sea level and
for every 1,000m thereafter 10% of the vehicle/trailer weight (trailer weight + gross vehicle weight)
must be deducted.
03) The size of the fuel tank is approximate and therefore it may be possible to add a greater amount
of fuel than the size of the tank specified, due to the space in the filler neck.
04) Official fuel consumption according to EU Directive 99/94. The consumption calculation according to
1999/100/EC is based on the actual unladen weight of the vehicle. Additional specifications can lead
to a higher weight class and hence to consumption figures of this higher weight class. The driving style,
road and traffic conditions, environmental influences and vehicle condition can in practice lead to
consumption figures, which may differ from those calculated with this standard.
05) The weight of a vehicle will influence the level of CO2 emission it produces; as a result, vehicles
with higher levels of specification and factory-fitted options may emit higher levels of CO2.

Three-year Warranty
All Volkswagen Jetta models come with a three-year/90,000km warranty which protects your car against
the failure of most mechanical and electrical components due to manufacturing defects. This comprises
a two-year manufacturer’s warranty with unlimited mileage plus a further one-year/90,000km (whichever
is soonest) warranty*. Full details of the three-year warranty are available from your authorised
Volkswagen dealer.
* All warranty work must be completed by an authorised Volkswagen dealer or repairer.
Three-year Paintwork Warranty
The paintwork of the Jetta is covered against manufacturing defects for a period of three years. Naturally,
the Jetta must be cared for in compliance with the operating instructions which will be found in your vehicle
handbook. Please consult your Volkswagen dealer for full warranty details.
12-year Body Protection Warranty
The internal body sections and panels of the Jetta are covered against rusting through from the inside for
12 years. Naturally, the Jetta must be cared for in compliance with the operating instructions. Please consult
