The redesigned boot has a maximum load volume of
510 litres and, along with a storage box on the left side,
provides plenty of space for all your luggage and more,
increasing flexibility and convenience.
When the rear centre armrest is folded down, it provides
a useful load-through provision, enabling you to transport
bulky objects, such as skis or snowboards, with the
greatest of ease. The rear centre armrest also features

The new Jetta Trendline offers a unique design, impressive
quality and superb value for money. The list of standard
equipment includes a newly designed ‘Climatic’ semiautomatic air conditioning system, multifunction display
Plus, electric front and rear windows, and electrically
heated and adjustable door mirrors.
Further comfort is assured with speed-sensitive powerassisted steering, leather trimmed multifunction steering
wheel with controls for radio and multifunction display
and height and reach adjustable steering column, front
seats with height adjustment and durable ‘Cardeol’
cloth upholstery.
On the exterior the high specification continues
with halogen clear headlights, range adjustable with
daytime running lights as standard. There are also
body-coloured bumpers, door handles and door mirrors
with integrated indicators incorporating LED technology.
The look is completed with a black radiator grille
surround and louvres.
The ‘Climatic’ semi-automatic air conditioning system
is extremely user-friendly, providing your required cabin
temperature quickly and efficiently, while maintaining
your selected temperature.
Eight speakers as standard provide a near perfect balance
of sound. This can create a brilliant ambience, whatever
you choose to listen to.

Safety in the new Jetta is also paramount and this is
highlighted with the inclusion, as standard, of driver’s
and front passenger’s airbags with front passenger’s
airbag deactivation switch, curtain airbags, front seat side
impact airbags and whiplash-optimised front head
restraints. All new Jettas are also fitted with an electronic
engine immobiliser as standard.

Subtle trim elements in the Comfortline provide a touch of
elegance and flair with that extra bit of comfort and
luxury. With an RCD 310 radio/MP3 compatible CD player
and AUX-in socket with eight speakers and cruise control,
you can be assured you will arrive at your destination
calm and relaxed after every journey.
Building over the already well equipped new Jetta
Trendline, the exterior look of the new Jetta Comfortline is
enhanced by the addition of 16 inch ‘Navarra’ alloy wheels
and anti-theft wheel bolts. While inside, front comfort
seats with ‘Sienna’ cloth upholstery including height and
lumbar adjustment, front centre armrest with storage
compartment, two rear air vents and cup holders, together
with a rear centre armrest give both the driver and
passengers added comfort.
However, the long list of standard equipment doesn’t
end there. Choose the new Jetta Comfortline and you will
also get load-through provision and a 60:40 split folding
rear seat backrest, ideal for transporting long items,
storage compartment in the roof console and front seat
back storage pockets.
The new Jetta Comfortline has an impressive fuel
consumption, with the 1.6 litre 105 bhp TDI manual
engine achieving up to 62.8 mpg or 4.5 litres per 100 km
over the Combined fuel cycle*.

An exceptionally high degree of driving comfort combined
with impressive power and agility ensures the new Jetta
Highline deliver pure driving fun, whichever engine
specification you choose. It looks particularly sporty with
17 inch ‘Porto’ alloy wheels complete with 225/45 R17 tyres
on Highline models and front fog lights with static
cornering function, mounted within the front bumper,
illuminate the road ahead in poor visibility.
Inside the new Jetta Highline, the vibrant ‘Gloss’ seat
centre sections and ‘Microfibre’ side bolsters provide a
touch of luxury. Front sport seats with height and lumbar
adjustment are fitted as standard and offer the driver and

The optional park distance control comprises of parking
sensors, front and rear, and reverse kerb-view adjustment
on the passenger’s door mirror. The parking sensors assist
in parking manoeuvres by emitting both audible and visual
signals, alerting the driver to any obstacles in the way: the
closer you are to an obstacle the faster the sound
frequency. In addition an optical parking display extends
the functions of the parking sensors by indicating your
position, either in monochrome on RCD 310 radio system
or colour on the optional RCD 510 radio system and RNS
310 or RNS 510 navigation systems, on the vehicle’s audio
display during parking. Optional on all models and also
available as part of the optional Comfort pack.
The Electronic Stabilisation Programme (ESP) recognises
critical driving situations and reacts in milliseconds by
targeting brake and management systems, controlling the
speed of individual wheels and helping to bring the vehicle
under control. As a result the vehicle achieves maximum
directional stability. Standard on all models.
Active safety features, such as the brake pad wear indicator
informs the driver when the brake pads need replacing.
Only when you feel safe can you drive confidently. Which is
why safety is such a fundamental concept in the new Jetta –
and why a whole range of new generation safety features are
fitted as standard. Passive safety features include a curtain
airbag system for front and rear passengers, front seat side
impact airbags, as well as the standard driver’s and front
passenger’s airbags with passenger’s airbag deactivation
switch. Following an impact from the rear, the whiplashoptimised front head restraints help minimise whiplash
injuries to the neck and spine and in addition, there are
three head restraints and three-point seat belts for the rear
seat passengers. The front seat belts are fitted with
tensioners and are height-adjustable for added safety and
comfort with a warning light and buzzer to notify you if your
seat belt is unfastened. Further active safety features include
an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and an Electronic
Stabilisation Programme (ESP), supported by Electronic
Differential Lock (EDL) and Traction Control (ASR). With
everything included to ensure maximum safety for all
concerned, all you have to do is sit back, relax and enjoy its
many benefits with complete peace of mind. What better
incentive could there be for driving the new Jetta?
The driver’s and front passenger’s whiplash-optimised
head restraints not only ensure additional comfort, but
also provide particularly effective support for the head and
spine in the event of a collision.

The new Jetta has a range of powerful and efficient engines
at its disposal with two petrol TSI variants benefiting from
innovative direct injection technology. TSI is the name
given to Volkswagen’s twincharged or singlecharged petrol
engines with direct petrol injection. The basic features
common to all TSI engines are the downsizing concept,
direct injection and turbocharging. This innovative
engineering results in high tech engines with excellent
torque and power output combined with low fuel
consumption. Incorporated into the TSI engines is FSI
technology, whereby fuel is injected directly into the
combustion chamber under high pressure. The benefit of
this method – is that it only burns the exact amount of fuel
required helping to reduce fuel consumption and boost
performance even at low revs.
The TDI engines available for the new Jetta eliminate any
compromises – you can have performance as well as
exceptional economy. These diesel engines all benefit from
the latest common rail technology, resulting in exceptional
pulling power throughout the rev range alongside low fuel
consumption. This technology not only ensures excellent
performance and fuel consumption but also makes it
incredibly quiet.
The revolutionary DSG gearbox provides the best of both
worlds, combining super smooth and extremely fast gear
changes with performance and economy. Available as a six
or seven speed gearbox.
The new Jetta’s TSI engines have a six speed manual
gearbox which transmits power with short, accurate shifts
and very smooth handling, making it easy to drive at the
right engine speed.
Volkswagen’s technologically advanced TSI engines
combine excellent performance functionality with
impressive fuel economy. The combination of direct fuel
injection and intelligent turbocharging technology allows
petrol engines with TSI technology to work particularly
efficiently, offering such advantages as high performance,
high torque and reduced fuel consumption. TSI technology
is available as either a 1.2 litre TSI 105 bhp or 1.4 litre TSI
122 bhp.
The first diesel engine available for the new Jetta, is a
1.6 litre 105 bhp with a five speed manual or a seven speed
DSG gearbox. The manual engine achieves an exceptional
62.8 mpg or 4.5 litres per 100 km over the Combined fuel
cycle†. For a more sporty option, the 2.0 litre TDI generating
140 bhp with either a six speed manual or six speed DSG
gearbox is available. The manual engine boasts impressive
economy with a CO2 of 126 g/km† and 58.9 mpg or 4.8 litres
per 100 km on the Combined fuel cycle†, yet can accelerate
the Jetta to 100 km/h in an impressive 9.5 seconds.

The RCD 310 radio/MP3 compatible CD player
features eight speakers with an output of 4 x 20
watts. It also features an AUX-in socket for
connection to an external multimedia source

RCD 510 is a DAB digital receiver, allowing you to
listen to all digital stations available in crystal
clear sound. Optional on all models.
The RNS 310 touch-screen navigation/radio
system features a 5 inch colour display for clear

CDs even when the navigation system is being
used, while music can also be played via the SD

The RCD 510 touch-screen radio/dash-mounted

navigation and touch-screen operation. It also

The RNS 510 DVD touch-screen radio/navigation
system with integrated voice control features
a 30 GB hard drive, DVD drive, multifunction
display showing clear navigational directions,
an SD card reader and full compatibility with
MP3 and WMA files. The AUX-in socket and Multi
Device Interface (MDI) enables you to connect
to an external multimedia source, such as an
iPod or MP3 player. Optional on all models.
Bluetooth telephone preparation for HFP (Hands
Free Profile) enabled telephones allows you to
use your phone safely and easily whilst driving.
