14:00 Excursion to “Park Kievskaya Rus”
Ancient Kyiv in the tenth century, occupied an
area of 10 hectares and had a population of
about two thousand people. This effectively
"ran" the huge state of Kievskaya Rus, which
stretched from the Baltic to the Black Sea, from
the Carpathians to the Volga.
"Park Kievskya Rus" – The Centre for Culture
and History of Ancient Russia - is unique in
nature and the scale of the project, which has
no comparison anywhere else in the world. For
the first time in human history an architectural medieval city was built - Detinets-Kremlin
Kiev V-XIII centuries. The project was implemented 34 km from Kyiv in the village of
Kopachiv.

medieval city - the ancient Kiev - preserves the cultural heritage of our ancestors to the next

In the "Park Kievan Rus' meals are cooked on an
open fire, which adds to the food resembling the
real medieval experience. At first you can eat
nourishing Druzhin kulesh or Boyar yushkoy, the second - to elect pancakes, dumplings or
roast. Then drink with such ancient drinks as uzvar or kvas.
Since the Kievan Rus' has co-existed side by side with nomadic peoples, the ability to
recreate the atmosphere of the Middle Ages is not possible without oriental meals. In the
"Park Kievan Rus" you can try pilaf, Shurpa, Ira and other Central Asian cuisines.

Excursion. Architectural pearls of Pechersk
Pechersk and Limes – the ancient district of Kiev,
combining the remnants of the luxury of the 18th and
19th centuries with massive buildings of the Soviet
era, favored by the nobility of the time and the
mansions, which have become iconic for Kiev ...
This tour will be more interesting to visitors to the
city, but the citizens of Kiev are also able to learn
many new things.
Start: 09:00, at the top of the subway exit "Khreschatyk" (Street Institutskaya).
Time: 2.5 - 3 hours.
During the tour you will see the preserved mansions from the 19th and 20th centuries, learn
about the life of the people inhabiting them, as well as the current plight of these unusual
buildings. They include such architectural gems as the House of the Weeping Widow, House
with Chimeras, Arabic house, the mansion of Count Uvarov with its gold and silver rooms,
which you not only hear about, but will also be able to visit. The perfect end to this excursion
is the story of the famous Kiev mansion - Chocolate House, which you may also wish to visit.

Walking through the central city you will see many
amazing buildings of ancient Kiev.
St. Michael's Cathedral, built in 1108 - 1113 . In St.
Michael's Monastery is buried the grandson of Yaroslav
the Wise, Prince of Kiev Sviatopolk Izyaslavich.
On the high hills of the right side of the Dnieper it rises
majestically crowned with golden domes of the Holy
Dormition Kyivo-Pecherskaya Lavra - the inheritance
of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the cradle of monasticism in Russia and the stronghold of the
Orthodox faith.
Kievo-Pecherskyay Lavra began life in 1051.
St. Sophia Cathedral was built in the 11th century and is located in the heart of Kiev. Surviving
through the centuries it reaches 260 meters of mosaics and 3,000 square meters of frescoes.
There is hardly anywhere in Europe you can find so many frescoes and mosaics of the 11th
century, preserved in a church.
The Church is surrounded by monastic buildings of the 17th century, made in the style of
Ukrainian Baroque.

Velobus is a hybrid bar, bicycle and bus.
It has a driver, but in order for it to move around,

the faces of onlookers - Guaranteed!
Velobusa can accommodate 10 active and 4
passive passengers. You can change to have a

"smooth transition from one state to another."

acquainted with such landmarks as Sophia
Cathedral in Kiev, St. Michael's Monastery, Golden Gate, a monument to Bogdan Khmelnitsky,
Khreschatyk, Independence Square, St. Volodymyr's Cathedral, Askold's grave, Hem,

16:00 Walk on main Street of Kiev – Khreschatyk.
This Street was built in the late 18th century. In the
times of Kievskaya Rus', this area was a forestcovered valley in which a brook ran through.
In ancient times it was the hunting place where the
people of Kiev lay traps for catching wild animals
(hence the ancient name - Perevisische). Later it was
called the valley Kreshchataja. The first residential
wooden houses appeared on Khreschatyk in 1797 (in
the area between the European Square and Independence Square).
Khreschatyk is famous today with buildings, Independence Square, Kyev City Council and
Kyev City Hall, the main post office, Bessarabian market, Central Department Store and of
course a variety of boutiques and restaurants
