As the Sheriff here in town, I want to offer y’all a warm welcome to the 2015 Fenn School Auction—“The Wild West at Fenn.” The evening is guaranteed to be festive, fun, and spirited. Having donned our best cowboy boots and ten-gallon hats, parents, teachers, staff members, and friends are gathering for this community event. Our spirits are as high as a crowd at a rodeo because we know this evening will directly benefit the education of Fenn boys. Our “Wild West at Fenn” has no out-laws but only law abiding folk whose generous bidding will go directly to the Parents Association Fund for the Professional Development of Teachers and the Advancement of the Curriculum. For over a decade, the Parents Association has dedicated the proceeds of the Fenn Auction to the replenishment of this fund and has generously served as the primary and vital source of funding. An auction of this caliber, with all of its wonderful effects on the school community, can only happen with extraordinary parent-volunteers leading the way. This year’s auction is no exception. The Fenn School community gratefully tips our ten-gallon hats to the two visionary, tireless, and skilled chairs of the 2015 auction, Melissa McCray and Clare O’Connor. Without their enthusiasm, organization, goodwill, and hard work, this event would not have succeeded. Melissa and Clare would be the first to note that they are joined in their efforts by the many parent-volunteers of the Auction Committee who solicited gifts and executed the countless details that will make “The Wild West at Fenn” one heck of an event for our school. All of us at Fenn are deeply grateful for the inspired efforts of all of our volunteers and the generosity of our auction donors. Above all, please enjoy “The Wild West at Fenn.” We don’t have to send a posse out to capture good company as you’re already here with us. And we know that the festive atmosphere in our town here on the Fenn prairie will raise your spirits—and your bidding—to ensure a spectacularly successful event in all ways to benefit the boy buckaroos of Fenn. With warm wishes, Jerry Ward Wild West @ Fenn 4 Auction 2015 The Wild West @ Fenn Auction 2015 Honesty Empathy Respect Courage Supporting our faculty and staff as they guide our boys across new frontiers & May 2 & Wild West @ Fenn 5 Auction 2015 - Wild West @ Fenn 6 Auction 2015 Wild West @ Fenn 7 Auction 2015 Boys Raffle April 28 until May 1 Raising money for Faculty Development is not just a parent project. Wild West @ Fenn 14 Auction 2015 Thank you from our Auction Chairs ------------------------------------------------------Thank you! We would like to give a huge thanks to the entire Fenn Community! When we first embarked on this adventure we knew it would take a village to pull together our vision for the Wild West at Fenn Auction. We are overwhelmed and humbled by the support of our tireless volunteers, the Development Office, Fenn faculty and staff, our generous donors, and our guests tonight. We worked with an amazing Auction Committee whose creativity and spunk helped us reach new frontiers as the planning process went from ideas to reality. Our Decorations and Auction Setup committees have made the gym look like a western town – no small feat but they made it look EASY! Our Acquisitions and Business Sponsorship committees worked together to raise money for the event and source so many unique and special items for tonight. The Marketing, Publicity and Invitations teams continuously found fun and creative ways to spread the word about tonight. Our Catalog committee worked diligently, and under a tight time schedule, to write and create this beautiful book. To all of our committee members, thank you doesn’t even express our gratitude for all of your help. Many thanks to the PA Board for their support, and a special thanks to Mary Beth Lisman, PA President and past auction co-chair, who has helped us navigate the auction planning process. Tonight’s proceeds go directly to the Fenn Faculty and Development Fund. To the faculty and staff, a heartfelt THANK YOU as you help every Fenn boy cross new frontiers!
