Dear Parents,
Dear Parents, Our theme for this month is “Fall Is All Around.” We will be discussing what happens during fall; the weather changes, and the leaves change colors. To help the children understand this idea better we will go on a nature walk and talk about the different changes that have occurred. On our walk we will also collect leaves and use them for an art project. Finally, we will discuss the things we like to do during fall. This month is an exciting one for children because it ends with a favorite dress up day for them--Halloween. We will celebrate Halloween by having a costume party on Friday, October 30; each child can bring in individually wrapped treats for their friends. You will receive more details about the Halloween Party at a future date. Since this is the month of Halloween we thought it would only be fitting to have two colors for this month ORANGE and BLACK. ORANGE and BLACK DAY this month is on Wednesday, October 7; your child should wear or bring in something orange on that day. Our shape for this month is CIRCLE; we will be making circle spiders, sponge paintings, and collages. We would like to welcome Michelle, Shemseddin, Walter and their families to our Dolphin room family. Chris & Wilma Happy Halloween!
