The park was acquired in two phases, in 2010 and 2013, when the surrounding land was subdivided for development. At that time, minor improvements to the western portion of the park were provided by the developer. When complete, the park will complement other recently completed parks in the Burke Mountain area including Marguerite, Millard-Orchard, Galloway and Queenston parks. CITY OF COQUITLAM PARK PLANNING & DESIGN [email protected] 604-927-3595 PRINCETON PARK 4 PURPOSE To provide Coquitlam residents with an opportunity to review the process, share ideas, suggestions and thoughts on the proposed park program and desired amenities. This feedback will assist the City in refining a concept design for City Council review and consideration. WHY DO WE NEED A PLAN? Princeton Park Concept Plan will help guide the future development of the park in order to provide park amenities to best serve the local area. The park plan will fit within the integrated system of parks and open space amenities for the whole community. CITY OF COQUITLAM PARK PLANNING & DESIGN [email protected] 604-927-3595 5 PRINCETON PARK GOAL OF THE PROCESS To generate a well-defined conceptual design that incorporates public feedback, embraces site opportunities, complements existing park and public amenities, and accommodates neighbourhood needs.
