Twin Lakes National Fiddlers Championship - Leitchfield, KY HWY 54 Yard Sale 24 The Highway 54 Yard Sale has become a yearly event that occurs once during the spring (Derby Weekend) and once during the Fall (3rd Weekend in September). Stretches from Leitchfield to Owensboro along HWY 54. Rough River Yard Sale 25 The Rough River Yard Sale goes along Highway 79, during the 2nd weekend in October. Blackrock Motocross 26 One of Kentucky’s finest motocross race tracks. Blackrock offers competitive race classes for all ages and skill levels. The dam is 135 feet high, 1,500 feet long and 819 feet wide at the base. Rough River Lake covers 5,000 acres, with a shoreline of 221 miles. Fishing in Rough River Lake includes bass, bluegill, catfish, crappie, rough fish, and walleye. Rough River Dam State Resort Park has a lodge with rooms, cottages, marina, and campgrounds with electricity and water hook-ups. Call (800) 325-1713 for more information. With miles of scenic shoreline and cool, clear water, Nolin is the perfect summer getaway. The lake has an abundance of bass, catfish, crappie and walleye for great fishing. Rough River Airport 30 Located at Rough River Dam State Park and offers 3,200 feet of paved, lighted airstrip with tie-downs and aviation fuel available. It has a shuttle service to the lodge and aviators who prefer can camp near their aircraft at the airport air camp which has a central service building with showers and restrooms. U.S. Army corps of engineers The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has three campsites on Nolin River Lake (270) 286-4511 and four on Rough River Lake (270) 257-2061.
